thanks guys for all input and advice going:zzz: now

If the frames, finials & crests are really bad they can be a real barstuard to clean properly even with the kit I've got,
So good luck with that one @norm
thank god you said that ...that flimsy plastic top is a swine to get clean....i was kinda wondering what to do to get it cleaner..../emoticons/smile.png

Brush over it with diluted Virosol on the brush. Use fan jetted brush rub and rinse is the easiest way. Only if you have the kit mind. Tradding a conny roof don't 'bear' thinking about, especially getting in the triangled corners.

well a wee update i scrubbed the ars-e of that conservative today using neat ecover and a brush i bought to clean my motorbike with

used magic sponge for the wee gaps in pvc to get the green out

scrubbed the roof with porcupine and car brush head on end of unger trad pole and ecover

bladed the 4 straight sections of glass and the triangle sections were done ish with wagtail and microfibres

the roof glass double glazing had broke down in places so did my best

got paid and left before custy returned so if i dont get a phone call

took me just over 5 and half hrs

never volunteer they say in the army

never in the army but sure is true

doing job with w.f.p would be a far better option me thinks

yeh @cheapncheerful gives some good advice /emoticons/biggrin.png

Norm I have a wfp and find it a struggle to do a glass roof, im new tho, all the best, use it as a learning experience. I have a large glass roof conservatory to do in the countryside. Gets covered in pine needles of the trees, which collect at the furthest point attaching to the house. Have to get on the roof and walk on a lead flat bit about 10 inches wide, I have size 11 feet so toes hanging over. Use water fed pole to flush them out with fairly high pressure, little things stick like mad all the way down whilst brushing them down. Asking for trouble doing it that way, but previous window cleaner I bought the round off done it that way, so really got to try and do it from the deck, my 25ft slx almost fully extended to get too the back.Good tip from cheapncheerful regarding using a 30ft pole( extension is a dream away just now) Just had a thought of strapping on garden hose to the pole to flush the needles out first, then finish off with pure water, as went through 3 x 25ltr drums last time, I only carry 100 litres so far. The joys.

hmmm...them pine needles are a pain...i used to have to clear the gutters on one house twice a year crammed to the top with them......cant remember the type of tree but it dropped them in the winter...
