New ladder leveller

B

boarcity

for all you fellow ladder buffs , i just came across this novel ladder leveller on ebay for £65

and heres a link to the website of the fellow making what seems a very cool idea , www.triquadls.co.uk

i reckon you might get thirsty as looks tricky to assemble . the legs are water operated , can you bleve that

very interesting that they use water...but suppose its cheap...interesting device....i will post a pic of a bungalow i do and the angle the ladder goes to reach the window.....:eek:dont think smurfy will approve....

I would rather a device where one ladder foot was on the ground rather than the leveler taking the full weight if you know what I mean.

personally i dont think it would suit our trade as at 4 kgs in weight nobody would like carrying it around all day its way too heavy .

however its such an unusual idea to use water filled rams for the legs . i dunno if id trust them,as said above

4 kg thats a lot didnt read that bit

and i dont know about the feet on them

good for home but nay good for us as boarcity says i think

yeh it looks good in action...personally i would like to have seen it actually built into the side stiles of the ladder and the legs just level and you press a button and the stay there...bearing in mind what a lot of our american car buffs do with the jack the car up and down idea...

i couldnt see how he kept it level once it had adjusted but presume it works okay...

one day the ultimate ladder will arrive...dont worry boar...i not been totally infected with wfp ...me loves me ladder.../emoticons/biggrin.png

hey on that other post re the £75 job for working from 10 til 4...bet i could get that as a subby to you:whistle:

now wouldnt that be something, built into the ladder stiles . more i think of it it really is a mad idea , i wonder how long you have to safely get back down the ladder from the moment you realize one of the rams has a leak ?.

he he slowly slowly the ladder starts to slide:turd::turd::turd: up there that would not be fun...mind you ...we who work on ladders have all had that dodgy moment...scary...not happened on my new ladder thank god...the trouble is i have not needed a pointer for yonks and now i have picked up several new jobs with bays that i cant quite reach....i take it you saw the post where i stood on the thick outside wooden chair only for it to go snap....oops.

lucky for me my new big ladder for the most remains doubled up and so feels really safe...although they all do at the beginning...i feeling a little less safe on full extension as it wears in..
