Tolish was it wussy kickboxing or proper muay thai?Did a bit of muay thai years ago and is hardcore..gotta respect those guys

39 now and boxing is a good workout

.used to live the lifestyle to go with it but my missus is half italian and loves to feed me so all gone to pot now. My weight would put me in heavyweight same as david haye and he's 2 inches taller amd a lot fitter..lol
Proper muay thai mate, knees, elbows, the lot. My instructors were the real deal, regular visitors to Thailand and lived and breathed it- one even had a beautiful thai wife he met over there. There are parts of the training you never loose, but the endurance goes very quickly, followed by the flexibility. /emoticons/biggrin.png I used tolive for it, but when you get married and have kids your priorities just change don't they.

They do mate

When I was young I learnt some krav maga from my best mates dad (ex israeli army)

Is hardcore and they do it about 20 minutes drive from my house..am really tempted to go there once I get some time.

Was taught by a proper israeli squaddy so have learnt some really usefull stuff..google it it is mental..

Knife disarms etc

Been teaching my son to box..13 years old ..about an inch shorter than me 6'1" and 12.5 stone and size 9 feet like me..

Is biggest in his year at school since nursery and can't half throw a good punch..

Nice to not have to worry about him when he's out

I've seen a lot of that krav maga, its probably up there with the best for real fighting, if there was a club close to me I would be tempted to try it out as its quite compatible with MT. Theres quite a few martial artists on here, maybe we should have a training day out. /emoticons/smile.png

Everyones kungfu fighting tonight it seems, lol.

Its good to pass it on to your lad daveyboy, schools are tough places to be, I reckon its even worse these days, or maybe I'm getting soft in my old age. Boxings a good one as its good in tight places like night clubs and keeps your feet planted so you don't slip on a beer mat when you try and throw a flashy roundhouse at someone chatting up your squeeze./emoticons/biggrin.png I've got a similar embarrassing story but I'll save it for another night.

you lucky boy mr taytay...on here its not called exercise its called tuffering:rofl:

The finest and most enjoyable form of exercise is tuffering.....particularly when you work through the good old karma sutra
As it happens me and Mrs T had an hour slot earlier that was filled very nicely thank you

Tolish they do krav in hertford and hatfield. Only about 50min from you..lol

it will be interesting to see what level I am at as I learnt for a good few years growing up..the same as my boy learnt to box..not structured teaching but just taught as and when

love the way you are taught to go for the bo##ox , eyes, throat etc

What a great video that was. The bloke taking all the hits was the true champ in it, I'm sure some of those made proper contact. I've just checked and there are quite a few KM classes in Cambridge, and I'm very close to pulling the trigger. hmmm

Do it...it is fun when you start learning multiple attackers.

That's why they teach it for bodyguard work

Krav Maga - techniques against knife attack in Kr…:

here's a couple of vids tolish..you can see why law enforcement use it

Thats some pretty cool stuff Davey. I'm just trying to find a club that doesn't want to take £10 off me every training session, but I guess the price of everything has gone up these days.

It's expensive round here too which is why I haven't gone yet

I would have to clean a 3 bed terrace to pay for it
