The micro/scrim cloth information center - sept 2014

I hate it when I forget about dirty sill cloths until the telltale dead body smell coming from my boot
last few days iv been adding a capful of pine disinfectant to my bucket water, to fight the stink .

I use the beer towels as sill cloths but the dirty up quick and are hardtop wring out. Much prefer small microfibers. I'm trying out some new ones and they are cheap as chips, I'll post a linky up when I've given em a good go.

I've a bag of about 20 mixed microfiber clothes some really good quality and some b&q cheap ones they last about 2 weeks then they all get thrown in the washing machine , I've always go a scrim in my pouch for any detailing aswell /emoticons/smile.png I never waste my pure washing bottom sills always do it by hand after

I don't bother ringing them out. If it's a warm day I hang them on my roof-rack to dry, and re-use during the day. Then, when I get home I put them into a large plastic container in cold water with bleach. I wait a few days, or how ever long it takes until I have about 14-18, then put them in a spin drier (not a washing machine, one of those old stand alone types), then put them on an airer until completely dry. All clean and fresh.

I use the same sill cloth for days..just dry and re use

Have an old brass squeegee channel cut to the width of the handle which is used to wipe most of the water off frames and sills so not much to soak into sill cloth..just drys it a little more

Sometimes can use 1 microfibre for detailing and 1 sill cloth all day..2 cloths for a days work...not bad
