Nice one mate. Out of interest, how are you applying it Norm?

If you get the slightest bit of judder, just put a few neat drops direct to the applicator and its cured.

I've still got a bit of red wagtail rubber and I reckon that's one of my favourites. I've been planning to get some of that razorblade rubber but I've still got a load of ettore hard to use up, although not sure if its a good idea in the winter.

Direct to applicator is a great way of doing it for sure, but I still put the 2 squirts in the bucket as well.

just bought some unger soft for colder weather and some of mrtaytays magic fishscale micro

must not wash in hot water:eek:

i will try on my own windows week end and earn some brownie points with her indoors:rolleyes:

do you just dip into a bucket after applying or is it spray on window @daveyboy1
Just water in bucket

Let applicator drain a bit then just quick thin line accross length of it..enough to do 1 side of house

Why do you guys change rubber from summer to winter?

Used unger soft for years and never needed to..we don't get hot enough to need hard imo

I've never really changed the rubber due to season, I just bought the hard stuff as I was getting real problems with nicks in the rubber- was going through a strip a day at one point. But it all turned out to be my BOAB causing it until I taped it up.

im going to look into this. im sure im wasting rubber ruined by our boabs . for starters everytime i flip my rubber its always ruined so cannot use it

My rubbers last ages now, all due to a couple of strips of duck tape on the contact area of the boab. Also, I always take the squeegees out of the boab and put them in a separate bucket when driving between jobs. And when walking between houses I also take them both out and hold them in my hand thats holding the ladder as they tend to rattle about when walking which can't be good. Its worth the effort though as rubber is bloody expensive when you keep having to change it. I might try this peg idea too.

LONG TIME AGO the guvnor at soapnational gave me a rubber grip to put in my boab but i never got round to it,must look for it in my shed

we use Pulex boabs not sure if theres room to pad the slot out

one thing i know for sure non of my 3 workers has Ever ,EVER,EVER flipped a rubber and used it - think how much wasted rubber thats added up to , it beggars belief!
