Garage canopy.

Got a garage canopy to clean tomorrow morning, any advice? the sides I see being straightforward, just use my long reach pressure washing pole with brush on the end, swap to nozzle to finish it off.

But not 100% sure how to tackle underneath as it is going to be directly above me, thinking just nozzle but not sure that will be enough on its own, and not sure I can get the brush on it due to being directly above.

Anyone else done one of these?

How do you go about doing underneath? just do it an angle? I won't be using high pressure but find on industrial type frontages etc long reach pole with brush on it does a really good job, just not sure about directly above.

Depends how bad it is but I would usually wfp the underneath then go over it with micro cloths or clean it all by hand.

I have 3 petrol washers in total but to be honest I don't like using them on stuff like that as if not careful even on low pressure can cause damage to seals, roof panels, painted surfaces etc so could totally **** the job up.

Surely a brush head fitted on the end of that telescopic lance will be at the wrong angle to be able to use it on the outside of that garage canopy roof?

Don't have WFP for another week or two unfortunately.

Nah its perfect for flat sides, its underneath that is what I think will be difficult.

I'm a big lad so don't find it much of a problem to use it weight wise.

Why do you think the underside would be difficult as surely you could just use a normal washer lance instead?

Could simply pre spray it with trf, scrub it with a soft broom if need be then rinse off with the washer.

I've found a chepo harris pole £15 from B&Q and a chepo telescopic car/truck brush (acme thread) you can make your own wfp or just use it as telescopic brush instead if you don't want to fit wfp jets, hose etc to it. Does comes in very hand to keep in the van for jobs like that.

Yeah I am setting up wfp this or next week and was planning to do exactly that actually, and I was not sure I could get the brush at the right angle and have found in the past just using a nozzle on the end often doesn't shift all the dirt, find it always needs a bit of a brush.

Wet the brush agitate the dirt, then hit with the lance.

Just went and borrowed a decent sized step ladder, so hopefully I can brush it all over underneath first.

make a vid of it , or at least photos ,of this job - itd be intrestin for members to watch

Be careful using that monster of a lance if using it from a step ladder to do the outside. Step ladders are not ideal to work from bud and are down right dangerous trying to use a pressure washer to clean anything.

Slightly off topic but this looks an interesting vid
