Leaking aqua-dapter...

I currently work using a trolley connected to a hose reel with 30m of Aqua-dapter red hose on it... I switched over to the new A-D (with the bayonet fitting) a few months ago & had it leaking down the pole hose, making it wet, meaning it picks up more dirt to drag back up into the pole resulting in more wear...

Steven has been really good in helping to sort the problem & it is much better than it was... but occasionally it comes back & I get wet hose & pole sections for a few hours...

Anybody else had similar issues?

ive got the vlite aquadapter an it did the same leaking dodn the pipe nte mare but i sent it back an they fixed it free of charge i only hade to pay posteg to get it to them but its bin fine since i got it back no leaking at all

Cheers for the reply Tench...

Mines been back to be fixed but it didn't leak on their test rig, although it has been much better since I got it back with a new bayonet fitting.

Still occasionally getting a damp hose though.

I was getting the same problems but it's down to the bayonet type fitting not slotting in to place properly. Use a pair of long thin pinchers to push the fitting in firmly.

I've had several Duncs... Mk3, 3XL & Vlite, wouldn't like to work without one!

Tried a control valve but having to keep bending down to pick it up p'd me off! Took 2 days before I binned it!

I use an Xtreme brush to counter the extra weight from the Aqua-dapter.

As for operation I found I was getting a touch of RSI from the Mk3, the mechanism on the Mk3XL & Vlite is much better... very smooth, all RSI type pains went away when I swapped.

Thanks J D, I'll try that out tomorrow.

I took mine off as prefer to have the pole hose on the outside of my poles as the a-d will not work if you do.
