Gutter camera

WCF

Help Support WCF:

That one I'm dreading to do that's why I mentioned it again as is rather technically challenging clean even for all the kit I have.

hopefully you will not need to do fascias and gutters by hand....
I believe you showed us that picture before..

thanks for the info on the gopro smurf, i now have in my grubby little mitts a nice shiny little hero3+:balloondance::wow:

Well I found out tonight the camera works sort of ok in low light too

Did one first while it was not so dark then while the chap took a call I looked in next doors gutter too as the customer mentioned they have the same problem too.

The dead givaway the downspout is blocked is all the black around the joints

I've got a pny 32 gb msd hp card

I currently have 52 vids on it, 16 pics and is saying i have 03:20 video time remaining and 8409 photos remaining.

I've copied over pic's/vids to the pc so will now wipe the card as it's getting rather full. /emoticons/biggrin.png

Scratch that as is only taken up 9.11 gb of space so far 0n the msd so have loads of room left on it.

Can you use harris pole and guter tool to bring debris close to one side and then do the same from other side of the conservatory?

Thanks again for your help smurf, i ended up getting one off amazon for £16.99 and a couple of batterys and a mains charger

I just cannot get over how small the camera is

Yes if you have safe ladder access from both sides and the gap between the tiles is not too small to get the progutter tool in. I do avoid working on corners of a building though with a ladder waving a pole about.

It does even with the lcd back on its small

I ended up buying a micro sd in town today to try it out, i have to say i am amazed at the quality of the pics and video from it

So was my potential customer last night I quoted on as he knocked next door to show his guttering was blocked too /emoticons/biggrin.png

I won both those jobs so just goes to show using a gopro works rather well as a sales tool.

I have already mentioned the idea of a gutter survey to some customers and they would be happy to pay for that even if the gutters dont need doing for their own peace of mind so it looks like the gopro could pay for itself in no time

I tried it out in the marine tank underwater and the photos came out great /emoticons/biggrin.png

Interesting concept - I've not really thought about charging for a guttercam survey and not sure that I would want too as you also have to make sure the downspout bends are clear too that is sometimes difficult to check just using camera without doing a water test aswell.

I've seen many clear gutters on properties but also no obvious signs some of the downpipe bends being blocked which turned out they have been so that method is not full proof by any means.
