Just seen the weather forecast it's going to be ******* down all week where i am at. I've been spoiled with the dry warm weather we been having in the south east the past 5 / 6 month.

Got a gut feeling a few my customers will be making a big fuss this week if I start cleaning their windows in the rain's especially the OAPs

If it's coming straight down with no wind , I go out until I'm soaking wet , if it's horizontal I just stay in . I get the odd moan but there still pay . I've got a couple of houses that willnt except me working in the rain ... Most are ok

I find it interesting to know because I have seen quite a few window cleaners about where I work and I don't ever see them about working when its raining.

I do it because I have too, can't afford not to work cos it raining

What I tend to do when the weather bad is leave the big paying job alone till the weather get better cos I can understand some customers might get funny about it if their are paying big money to have their windows cleaned but I carry cleaning jobs I only charge £10 to £15 in the rain.

Rain is pure water

People pay to have their windows cleaned with pure so I don't see the problem..and I tell them that too

I tell em it's no different than doing them and it raining tonight..they don't say not to clean cos tomorrow it's gonna rain

They are the ones who get dropped and replaced with better jobs eventually

Did 2 new cleans in the peeing down rain yesterday morning. 1st floor flats well worth it for the money

After a dry year . I think I'll get a few moans this week .... Just seen the forecast for the week .. Autumn has arrived. Good luck guys . Just keep working until there say NO THANKS NOT TODAY.

There is only so much of a soaking you can take though, I worked as long as I could take it on Friday then threw in the towel.

I tend to work in all weathers the type of jobs I do. Just to done me wet gear on and just crack on

View attachment 3031 work in the rain unless its a proper downpour which rarely lasts half an hour

find its best not to wear waterproofs as you sweat in them and get wet and sticky that way . i wear a golf wind shirt [ sunderland of scotland ] and thin trackies year round that the wind will dry in no time . iv waterproofs in my van for my workers however they choose not to wear them. my girl worker brings her own featherlight wind jacket
