Gutter camera

The good thing about using a gopro camera it doesn't mind getting wet if in its waterproof case. Mind you I'm not so keen doing gutter surveys when it's peeing down but guess I have no excuse now.

Did another gutter clear & fascia clean today and must say the camera worked a treat to see what I was doing in real time using my guttervac from the ground. On that job my ladders were not needed at all which made a refreshing change.

Just quality on pre-view is poor but at least you see. My main reason for buying gopro was to leave ladders when possible on the van.

I don't find the pre-view poor at all as is crystal clear to me.

In pre-view mode just tap the screen and it will expand the size of the viewer to fit the size of the screen on your mobile phone.

By default when you connect the gopro camera via wifi through the gopro app on your phone the pre-view will defaults to a thumbnail image every time. So to see the image clearly you need to expand the pre-view window to full as mentioned above.

If you tap the screen again on your phone it will make the pre-view window even bigger as gets rid of the the frame and control buttons on it. Also if you still cant see what you are doing clearly when it's in full screen mode then maybe try moving the camera closer to the end of the nozzle to get a closer view of the inside of the guttering.

I'm using an old iphone 3gs which seems to display a good quality picture in pre-view mode to me.

Have you tried moving the camera closer to the guttering to see if that would make any difference?
