With dark nights drawing in, I still need to pick up customers as quick as possible.

What do you guys suggest as regards picking up customers in Winter? What is the most effective way of doing it?

I ideally need to achieve 1-2 customers a day in order to reach my goal by April.

Thoughts?

Cheers.

Get out there mate.

They aint going to come to you. Dress well, get a hair cut, and smile lots. You're braver then me.

Thanks for the encouragement.

I'm trying to discern if canvassing is different at night. I'll blast a lot of door-knocking off in the day but I'm wondering about the evenings as that's when people are home?

I've never really canvassed on mass, but I know from experience of leaflet dropping that doing it in the dark evenings sucks. I found everyone was nervous of me, curtains twitching everywhere, and even got a couple of screams at the door as people are going about there business and then look up and see me. I'm friendly when I get talking, but my approachability has never been all that great as I'm quite a big lad. The best way for you to find out though is to try it a couple of nights. I reckon you'll soon find out if it works.

Nice. Were people more wary of you? Did you find that you had to change anything?
Got the odd cheeky ****** lol.

Just says sorry for disturbing you, I clean mist if the windiws in this area wiuld u be interested in having your own aded to the list? To be honest there is several cleaners comes around this area that have lost alot off customers. How comes they losing customers, from reports ive heard they are not doing a great job to be honest. Lol

Fair play.

At the moment, I'm going out for a couple of hours in the day and picking up what I need. I've been making sure I canvass the right areas rather than wasting my time. I've developed a really successful way of canvassing and it's paying off now. The best type of customer is the one that rings you and books you, that way, they're looking for you and are unlikely to drop you and also haven't said yes on the door out of impulse or sympathy. I'm getting quite a lot of people ringing/texting my every day at the moment /emoticons/smile.png

I'm quite happy that I've found a way that works - IT's MOTIVATING! /emoticons/biggrin.png

Mate, stop the spammage, you're going to get booted off. Just hang out here and contribute for a while and someone might throw you a bone one day.
