This was brought up a few weeks ago, and I wondered if anyone has had a go. If so, I would be interested to know what channel and results etc. Polzn Bladz reckons it will available commercially in a few weeks.

If thats the case I'll probably just buy one then. I think it makes a lot of sense, but I just haven't got round to doing it yet.

Post the link when its a goer, hope its not £100:thumbsup:

I would still make my own i think if they are much more than a standard unger or ettore channel

Mine work ok as i constantly alter the bend at the dogear till it works perfect

If thats the case I would rather buy them from @daveyboy1 as I know I won't get ripped off and they would work properly /emoticons/biggrin.png

Ta smurf

I have no doubt his channels are good as i have seen em in action on utube

Price would be my limiting factor

Ok for guys with 1 or 2 squeegees but i have 6 10 12 14 and 18 inch channels and a couple of odd sized old ones with specific jobs i altered them for

Means i would need at least 5 new ones

I like to use the right size squeegee for the job so don't need to fan

Just go up 1 side across down across done

Indeed as having the right size channel for the just does speed things up just a wee bit /emoticons/biggrin.png

Well, that's interesting. No doubt a bought one is going to be pricy, one of the things with this is the angle of the channel to the glass is important. And, Daveyboy1, I don't think you need to change all your squeegees just yet. I have an old, but good, brass channel I have done, in a Ettore handle, and that works great. I have done one of these new alloy channels, but that's not so good. As I use a Wagtail as my main, I've tried to get one in that, but it doesn't seem to want to know. So far, then, as a standard squeegee it appears to be good, and I would recommend it.

Mine work well enough to justify keeping them and not replacing

Virtually the same as his and when i leave a little water behind occasionally it takes a second to remove it

View attachment 3133 They will be brilliant for anyone who doesn't mod their channels or not very good at the diy stuff

Been cutting mine for years which means you don't miss the water in the corners and now i dogear them more like him they are perfect for me

id think itd be best to cut them with a chopsaw , especially stainless steel

from what i see ,or hear, these angled channels scrape the frame, that cant be good, itll take the paint off in no time  or worse gouge the plastic !

probably best to only have a small angle cut , not anything like i see in the vids

They scrape the frame if the rubber is too short

My rubber protrudes about half a mil each side but is enough to touch the frame instead of the channel and with the dogear the rubber won't ride up the window rubbers

Not worth cutting the angle unless It's 45°

Or it won't do it's job of getting into the corner

never mention to your customers that your gear is modified in any way from standard. if there ever was a scratch issue this would give them a big leg up in a claim

Really? ?

Didn't know that

Does that mean if i fall off my modified ladders (drilled holes and attached ankalad) I'm in trouble for modifying them??

My customers know that I modify my stuff, they'll say that I do a good job, and I point to my squeegees! (I was going to say equipment!)

Regarding your pic; the middle one - is that stainless, and what rubber is it?
