Gutter camera

Did my first paid gopro roof gulley survey today and got £20 for my troubles. Mind you I also popped my head in the loft too but still was the easiest £20 job I've had for a while :)

Most that contact me already know their gutters are blocked but some may just want them checking so I would charge for this service.

Most that offer a no obligation free survey just turn up, walk around then say that will be xxx amount without even looking in all gutters and downspouts to see if they are blocked or not. Let alone being able to show the customer if they need doing or not by showing them pics or vids. In my opinion this service should be charged for if they want it doing.

Getting calls for gutter cleaning so this thread very interesting. Considering providing the service. What gutter vac does anyone recommend?

I made a big mistake thinking a guttervac was all that I needed to offer a gutter clearing service. So unless you are prepared to use ladders when needed then my advice is best you stay well clear.

Yes I have a set of ladders! And use them.

Seriously there are so many at it now selling so say guttervac kits it's hard to know which is better than the others.

I use one of the least expensive ones. Well, one of the least expensive ones that have a decent power level. 3000w from Gutter Clearing Systems. It doesn't have some of the frills of the more expensive vacs, but it does a good enough job. I've used mine about a year now. You do need 3000w or more in my opinion.

Looks OK. With a good price.

What problems do you get with it? Is the pole length long enough?

I assume you use a customers plug socket?
