5 years time ?..... Enjoying retirement with the Mrs.

10 years?.... Still enjoying retirement with the Mrs, as she has now turned into a raging nympho.

I am all ready to go 2 man, equipment wise and I have a guttervac now so just need 200 to 300 more customers to keep us both busy

Was gonna go for this one

My wife, is a top boss at Royces and gets full pay only working a 3 day week so I only do the 3 days aswell , that way we get lots of quality time together and our work/family balance is perfect ,, her work is asking her to do a few years in the states (texas) which we are considering as we couldn't do this before because of Abbeys cancer but now it's possible, our long term plan is retire around 55 sell our 4 bed and buy a cosy cottage in wales and spend 6 months a year in our campervan

Your of the same mind has me smurf ... I am at the age now where I just want to plod along as long as the business is making a profit and I get a wage each week then I am happy. I think if I had gone in to this job 10/15 years ago then it would have been different I would of been looking at empire building there's definitely scope for young energetic business minded people to build a empire at this job, but for me just carry on steady away and hopefully when I reach retirement age I'll have a small business to sell , everything paid for, daughters left home ..!!and enjoy the "pipe and slippers " years....lol

I am gonna have this whole area sown up and spend my time doing quotes and checking up on my staff..long term dream anyway

Just got to make it happen now

Notice I said make not try to make it happen

I am a stubborn sob so if i say it i will do it

Get the Mrs on board part time, keep the money in house. Then the kids. Then get more chickens, and start selling eggs. Get the Mrs to quit her day (night) job. That's as far as I'v got. But they don't know the plans. And my oldest is only 4, and wants to be Rapunzel, my boy is 16 months but climbs anything. So he ready to go.

Got my sister joining me in January, so I can work a bit less eventually once she is trained up. I will look for higher quality work(more money for less effort) I have three boys, oldest 9, so long term plan is if they want to work for daddy. then I can hunt down more work, perhaps and live of them:rolleyes:until they get wise:oops:. Would likes:rolleyes: to get a guttervac, jet washer, hot water portable setup, soft washing roofs. Ideally work 2-3 days per week, so can do other things, life/work balance. Until then slog away and see if the dreams come true:whistle:

They will come true..you just have to be stubborn and pig headed enough to keep going until they do
