Working in the rain!!!

yep probs working in the rain today....its a pain though and really slows you down ....so i dont do it much as i have many jobs around the house to do....work is work....weekends are weekends ...when ...i dont move.../emoticons/biggrin.png

no radiator in the daughters bed room at the mo....shes not impressed...but...i too busy....

I worked today in the rain and my problem is the customers, they always have something to say or just get arrogant and don't listen to a word i say to them about how it should dry as normal. Granted if it rains hard the doors and upvc are going to get some splash back from the dirt on the floor but overall i do not see why they have to moan or refuse anyone. As soon as the sun comes out there quick on the phone to ask where you are in the summer.

Seems they do not care that we need to make a living all year round.

Only 2or 3 out of 200 moan at me for working in the rain, last one moaned after receiving my compliments slip that it had rained in the afternoon, her windows were done at 8:30am.

Doesn't really slow me down just takes a lot of self motivation

I offer the "rain guarantee" as long as there's no strong winds around when I do them just say to the customer if they don't dry ok you just got yourself a free window clean! Never given one away yet!!!

I've got a few who still think their granny knew best /emoticons/biggrin.png

watch out for frost bite..... you would be gd to nobody

Don't think you can tell a customer I'm doing them in the rain as I gotta make a living to. It's one of the hazards of working outside. A roofer wouldn't take a roof off when it's raining just coz he's got to make a living. It's not the customers problem it's ours. I agree we gotta make a living but I'd never try to do a job that I didn't think would turn out good just to earn money.

working in rain must say when it,s fair make the most of it graft hard make the cash when you can

then when rain comes you have it covered money already made.

its all being motivated

If I need to work so I don't fall to far behind schedule then I'll work on anything. If I'm fairly on track then I'll just try and catch up later. /emoticons/smile.png
