My van update

WCF

Help Support WCF:

Don't mess about anymore shazzy and report them to trading standards and see if the police are interested in your case too as they maybe already aware of there sharp pratices for all you know,

Send some big dudes round with baseball bats and crowbars

I reckon that would do the trick

The threat of busted kneecaps works wonders

Unless they have bigger bats with triggers on them then you are screwed /emoticons/biggrin.png

I called c.a.b, they have advised me to write him a letter, then if no reply, then to call them again.......told gumtree they said if not resolved in a week, then email them......cant do trading standards unles c.a.b recommend me too apparently...

The guy had texted me to blatenlty tell me that im not getting van or deposit back, I am his worst customer and most awkward.....omg, I really have not done nothing wrong here. so annoyed, with myself and this guy who is lying....I bet he get away with it, as to take hime to small courts will cost me., is it worth it...fml...!

Was there anything on his advertisement that stated a non-refundable deposit of £250 to be paid right away via bank transfer?

Nothing in advert. Which I have printed. Paid deposit before invoice. I have lots of texts to back my claim. But who knows!! Watch this space. Lol

Yeah that is correct. But it will cost me to take this further. Has he got the money to pay if he loses. That's the hard bit...x

I don't think it will cist if you keep it in small claims court

Make an appointment with CAB.

Thanks guys for all the support. appreciated......Fingers crossed it don't cost to go to a small claims court....

over the years iv used the small claims court a few times, not pricey and easy to kick off . believe u can do it online now

Contact a debt collection company, In some cases they will buy the debt from you and then start proceedings to collect the now inflated debt and costs. It would be worth chatting to them.

Tell him to get the van ready as you're going to pick it up. See what he says to that!
Its a bit late for that, as yesterday he texted stating I wont get my money back and he would not sell me the van for all the lottery money in the world lol....plus he said he is now putting it up for sale...ffs

That ain't on! Take it further. I know I'd be tempted to get my £250 worth of satisfaction /emoticons/wink.png

hi shazzy don't worry about going to small claims online its very easy.....first send him a signed for letter telling him you will take action for recovery within a week of no return of deposit..

..it that doesn't work got to guv.com and start a claim although my claim was actually £325 I kept it below £300 as the fee rises in accordance with amount claimed....

they will then send an official court letter and that spooks anyone and hopefully that is good enough..

keep us all informed and hope it all goes well...
