Christmas week

P

Pickingpaul

The week before christmas i find you get the most amount of tips for your efforts, ive got my favourite week this week with around 100 customers to clean, weather forecast looks good too, reaching a high of 11c wednesday! And all the customers have had an xmas card from me. So hopefully i will get a good chunk of change by the end of the week. Or will i just have 100 empty cards? /emoticons/tongue.png

Hope you get your tips m8, I've found it a pretty lame year yet again for tips
Really? Its hit and miss isnt it, ive had years when ive do e ok and others ****, but i think its important to note the week before is best and each day closer to xmas the more tips u get on average, next mon and tuesday will be the best days i reckon

I think times are changing. Older customers are good for tips but they are getter fewer. Younger people don't think about tipping, they are making every penny count to pay for christmas. Often they are always at work when you call so there is no relationship with them other than, windows cleaned, card through door and being paid online.

Mine are **** again. got a few in nov, not much, had a few this month, but considering I have over 400 custies it really is disappointing....got 2 today, £13.

Yeah, interesting that mate. S if u get everyone to pay online, does it work very smoothly in your opinion or do some still not get around to paying?

I think a mixture is going to be my future, ive started getting some customers to do a bank transfer while others i know wont be in i text the day before and they leave the money for me. I would say 50% of my customers are in when i clean them, i think if everyone was at work and all paid online then youre right, very little relationship there, u become another utility bill to pay. You wouldnt tip eon or british gas

Well over £200 tips this week, how did u get on? Im working tomorrow mon and tue b4 xmas so should see a few more

Got my first tip today £3 [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

I got possibly £30 in tips but 90% of my customers pay through BACS or paypal so like already said I'm like a utility bill /emoticons/smile.png
