Brodex liverpool ~ very poor service

I placed an order for a new pole, because my old pole which was less than a year old stop working after poor quality, and the only help that Brodex would give me was to buy a further new pole at £217 and I had to wait 7 days for?

"what window cleaner could be without a pole for 7 days"

I called another company "Gardiner poles" and was promised next working day service on any new poles.

I cancelled my order with Brodex the next day and a month later I am still waiting for my refund, which I was told refunds only get made on the 18th of the month?

Its a month later and I still haven't had any refund,

Absolute Joke of a company to deal with!

Go to www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk instead for a fantastic service!

Would never Deal this company again!

Made 3 calls already today and still no Refund ~ Joke Company

nothing new for brodex , iv never seen anything good said about them , as for gardiners who have a great reputation and brilliant customer service

Welcome to the forum ashame you were not here before you went to use them never heard anything good sadly.

Brodex Customer Service :mad::mad:....

Reminds of that saying...'Some things never change'....very apt where Brodex are concerned........

Oh wait a minute....there's another saying where Brodex are concerned......'You live and learn' .

Just read their terms and conditions, nothing I can see states you have to wait 30 days for a refund.

http://www.brodexbms.co.uk/legal/terms.htm

But after reading their terms and conditions I have decided I'll never purchase s thing from them ..... Ever. If something is faulty they expect you to pay for shipping it back and also pay shipping on the replacement.

W@NKERS spring to mind

Indeed.

Well just as a note guys and gals it good to share experiences so others can make informed decisions. So please remember to keep this thread at that.

Only mentioning as these threads often turn into a company bashing thread. /emoticons/wink.png

Thanks for your info Gav!

I'm paying them a visit tomorrow, sick of being fobbed off by salesmen who think they know a bit about window cleaning.

Brodex are only interested in internet sales figures, and talk a lot of shite when it comes to refunds!

Have you been in touch with Trading Standards yet?....

and......

Phone Brodex before you leave to check if they're open (Christmas hours)...maybe closed already .

Stay calm........don't let them wind-you-up.............CCTV is everywhere /emoticons/wink.png.

Reported them to Trading standards, had to wait till 5th Jan to speak to accounts dept at Brodex!

3 phone calls later and after threting them with the Media and the power of the internet like Facebook were they actually advertise just wait!

Demanded that payment be made by today! They have now kindly confirmed a check will be in the post tomorrow that means I will have to wait a further 5 days to clear? Who still uses checks

So that will be 8 weeks to get a refund for never actually receiving anythink

Fantastic service!!!!

BE WELL WARNED ABOUT DEALING WITH BRODEX AT LIVERPOOL

Hey Neil, sorry to hear what a hassle this has been , at least you have warned the rest of us who check this out! They will suffer in lost profits. Lets hope the cheque doesn't bounce

I certnatly hope not for there sake?

Watch this space!

Worst company I have ever crossed my path with!

They have even moved to another unit on Knowsley estate and Not even bothered to tell there customers Sorry (Ex customer) they have moved premises? Joke

they certainly wont survive if they carry on like that. The days of the internet mean customers have access to information and alternatives.

I think with remote, mail order sales you are protected by law to change your mind and inspect goods for a cooling off period. I'm not sure about the refund side though. If you paid my card they should reimburse you the next working day, one would have thought.

The worse bit was I didn't receive any pole after I found out I had to wait 7 days? I just cancelled the order the next day! 24/11/14

And there reply was they only make refunds on the 18th of each month? So I was expected to wait 3 weeks!

Instead they just let me wait 7 weeks for the hell of it?

Thought me a valid lesson, they have since lost £850 in a new order for new poles which I placed with Gardiner! So who is the looser?

How true! Not when there's good reputable ones out there!

sounds like a dinosaur company if they can only do it on the 18th, unless they've only got one authorised account manager perhaps if its a small sub office. or could just be a bad team of office staff/manager. Some companies seem to have different divisions with different levels of customer care levels, or sometimes multinationals have those operatives in other countries which maybe better or worse

If no cheque today, go to their new Unit and ask for them to do a Bank Transfer there'n'then.

Or....go back to Trading Standards office (they may have opened a file case on Brodex) and ask the person dealing with your case to speak to them officially.
