Just out of interest has anyone used one? if so how did you find them? did a lot of the customers turn out to be messers? any and all feedback welcome /emoticons/smile.png

Yeah I used whizz that sponsors this site....Im now a year down the line and have a fair few of the customers left, plus more for being in different roads and picking them up along the way......There are also messers......

So in your opinion do you think it was worth it? would you do it again?

It cost me £1000 was meant to be 1200, he guarantees you £1000 regular of work I think.....Yes I probably would do it again, but I do have quite a busy round, so to add 10 customers to a days work in the winter was quite difficult, especially as it was December last year and we had a fair bit of rain at the time, I actually had to go out on the sunday just to complete the work....for me I done it the wrong time of year....(it was a lot more than 10 customers lol)

But if I was to do it again, I would probably pay for a different service from him, he can teach you to canvass your self, any customers you pick up, you keep.....I may well use this in the future, when I give up the cleaning side of things and just do the office and canvassing.....

Just used one last month, happy so far, got 500 worth of work and some extra, unfortunately quite a few were maybes or call next month or need to ask/wife hubby first, so a lot of these have turned out to be messers. as an estimate ( and i havent finished all 2nd cleans yet i would say about 300 quids worth out of the 500 should be decent ongoing custies. He replace any that drop so if that happens i can have no complaints.

would i use one again? yes, but be prepared for a lot of messers and hard work sifting though it, it is worth it if you are really against canvassing yourself (like i am) otherwise i would say no do it yourself and save a lot of time and money

I think you're paying for something you can do better yourself. People like to know you're local, where you live, kids school, etc, make some sort of tenuous link through chit chat. Not sure how someone from off can do this?

Local town for local people........

You ain't from round ere lol

Whizz is bloody good from what i have heard

I do 100% of my own canvassing and am happy to do it

Water off a ducks back with aggro people and door slammers

But for people who can't /won't do it i would say give him a go

You will get more work than just relying on facebook etc

Just canvassed myself, i used to find it very hard to do 17 years back as a teenager, but now i dont think twice, im very confident with it and would never pay someone to do it for me, but if i had of known about it when i was shyer i would have been interested im sure.

It is hard to cold call but most of the battle is in your own mind as with most things really. It gets easier with practice hence people get s good they decide to just do that but they have no magic weapons and will put up the messers for u also, u cant tell a real messer until u have been a few times or even 6 months right?

I find out of ten new customers 2 may be messers that i dump as soon as i realise but your new appearance on the road can as we all know lead to many more new quality customers.

Confidence is the key

Get out and knock doors

You know what you are talking about

You know you can do a good job

No reason for nerves

People can either say yes or say no

Nothing to worry about

Get a no move on

Get a yes woohoo

Prefer more yesses than nos

i really felt sorry for a canvasser from Harlow . a rogue ex- employee of mine had this guy canvass him up a round - it took him a week to do it -but rogue boy then tried to trick him into handing over the customer list without payin him a cent.

but the canvasser wasnt that stupid,he then rang round local windies ,see if any were intrested ,including me. Unfortunately i was too busy to take it on [later realized i should have bought it at a knockdown price and coped somehow] .

i see rogue boy now quite often ,[he lasted a year on his own as a windie],now drives a taxi

i bleve you could build a real stonker of a round if you employed a canvasser 2 or 3 times a year . this would be costly but worthwhile long term .

youd be forced to employ workers very early on , advantage would be youd bypass the "burnout phase" that many solo windies feel at year 2 or 3

I have never used canvassing services before and still do not understand how it works...I mean what you get from them.

Whizz bizz will charge you 1200 quid in return for them canvassing you 1200 quid of monthly work

So you get back what you spend but it depends if you can canvass it yourself for free

It is first clean only right?where is the catch then?I hate canvassing, that might work for me.

If you have time then do it yourself.

You'll build up an excellent knowledge of the local area and pick up on subtleties.

If you're self employed, that means your a grafter, admin, salesman and all the other bullshit.

It's part of the job.

Boarcity, what is a stonker of a round? £3-4k a month on your Todd?

id say a stonker round is when you are so busy its silly . i dunno how much thatd be in earnings ,but obviously itd be plenty .

More money than you can spend!

How come you haven't gone wfp route? Seems it would suit your set up?
