Bloomen wfp pump and pipes where all frozen this morning.

Hasent happened in 2 years so caught me out. My heater is in the box in the van and will have go come out so I can work tomorrow.

Now a hour and a half late... huff huff... oh well

At least you managed to open your van doors as my side loading door is still frozen solid /emoticons/biggrin.png

I would not want to be working anyway as the outside temp in my back garden is reading -1

I've also found splashing water about is not really a great idea when the temp is below freezing.

I am lucky I can get the van in the garage, When I first started I did start work one morning and it was still freezing...erm not good when the water starts to freeze to the glass....lesson learnt....when it's freezing on a morning start much later or don't bother at all...

What ppl also tend to forget is the air temp can be just above freezing but the ground surface temp can be well below freezing so wfp hoses etc can still freeze up.

I think I lost my car heater. The one you stick in your van to stop it from freezing. What do you recommend I buy. Got one of eBay a few years ago.

No good asking me as I trashed my potatble gas hot water heater today & nearly my pf trolley due to getting frozen in the van over the last 3 nights. Oops! /emoticons/biggrin.png

The pf trolley and other bits I don't want to get frozen are now indoors in the warm.

I hooked up a temperature controlled electronic gismo (technical term) that turn the power on or off to an oil heater. I've set it to turn on at 4° and off at 10°

The annoying thing is I've had that gas water heater for years and have always brought it in but now on refection after thawing it out and testing it to see if it still worked my missus has had a free kitchen tile clean out of me today as the water peed out from it everywhere.../emoticons/biggrin.png

I've just plugged a electic heater with auto frost protect in the back of my van. Better late than never I suppose as will save the tanks turning into bigger blocks of ice.

A gas water heater I've found also comes in very handy to melt frozen water in tanks that is if I had one to use now. Doh!

:whistle:My bottle of cleaning solution on my belt and my porcupine were nice and warm thanks for asking

I have just bought a parifin lamp. What I also noticed is that I have insulated the whole van but neglected to actually insulate behind the pumps so that's the coldest part of the van... tut tut... well got a super warm heater so should be delivered by next week. Or just in time for summer if it's with city link...

It's all frozen again today. I don't want to go to work now. Would rather have this week off and start again new year and have a week off. All bill are paid and mortgage so yesterday's couple should keep us to new year. Stuff it. I'm on holiday. ...

Good news everyone...

I found my heater. It was in the cat box but the wife had turned the box around so I could not see it. At least I can stick it in the van next week and be ready to go Monday morning. Happy new year all....

On a side note my dog pepsy is ****** he's not going today. Had his little red jacket on and was standing at the door.

Good call....you'll be ready for work by Monday

My good new is the wife has gone to work instead of me.

As long as we are not at home together it seems we get on great /emoticons/biggrin.png
