my one worry the heating packing up ...so far so good had the flame go out a few times but nothing else...hope you get it fixed soon...it would be tonight../emoticons/sad.png

Gotta admit its cosy here too, burning nicely seasoned chestnut, triple warm. Sorry man.

Mine stopped the other week..thought it was the pump as it was extremely hot ..turns out the ballcock in the header tank for the radiators in the loft had seized up

Geezer took 2 minutes and was gone

Feel for you @Shiny ! Mine clapped out in november ! Had to have a new boiler installed, it would not be so bad but the old boiler was only 9 years old!

Hope you get it sorted!

I paid a set price for Worcester bosh to come and sort my boiler out (replace one part price).

The following day it packed in again so the next chap that came out wasn't messing about and decided to replace every part in the boiler except the case at no extra charge. So in effect I had a new boiler for £169 /emoticons/smile.png

I only pay trade for parts and no labour as is a good friend who has own company and my wife does his admin for him

Tried paying him and he got offended

If people don't pay me i get offended lol

I too have a good friend that fitted it then when I asked him to sort it out he had a look he said would be cheaper to get a new boiler /emoticons/biggrin.png

@Shiny, have you checked the condensate pipe coming out of the boiler? The can often freeze and cut the boiler out. If this has happened just pour hot water over it and a nice block of ice will fall out, then reset the boiler. Very common fault when things get cold.
