Thought i would try this portable gas heater

WCF

Help Support WCF:

I ordered one directly for £85 inc delivery which was cheaper than the L5 I got a long time ago from the states

Can't find it now, but I have seen a similar one, called Amay* or something like that. My L5 is working well, but I would prefer a proper flue. I had a whirlybird fitted, so there's a hole in the roof that could be used

EDIT: * An Meny

I think they are all made in the same factory in china anyhow so just have different names on them.

thinking of picking up one of these, probably at the end of feb let me know how you get on with it smurf

Will do @luc

Not sure how long it will take to get to me as if it's on a slow boat from china and all that could take ages.

i see it has the 20 min timer. Is that there to save the water heater from damage or the user and can you run with out it connected or would that be a major saftey issue

I would not want to try to overide the 20 min timer as is not a real issue for me as I don't leave the water constantly running for 20mins anyhow. As soon as you turn the water off for a min or so it will should reset.

can you get thermostats you can connect to your leisure battery and drop into your water tank to warm water up,

not as hot as gas i know, but a cheaper way to take the chill off the water

Your leisure battery would drain quickly as a 12v heater would be pulling huge amounts of amps. I had an aquarium heater (240v) that i used for a while, but it probably is cheaper to make a bypass after the gas heater to send the water straight back into the tank . John guest makes this simple
