You mean a large baffled tank?

@Eviestevie did you get this sorted and if so what did you use? I have to install a tap too at the bottom of the tank that I can't reach but i'm unsure of exactly what to get and I didn't want to start a new thread and bore everyone with how unhandy I am.

No mate still tryin figure this out and drilling a hole in the tank is a bit daunting lol

ive looked everywhere but seems they all require a fixing from the inside to which if your like me is impossible to reach.

One idea I had was to maybe look into maybe a double tap of the existing hole which currently feeds my pump!

I gunna head to plumb center tmoz see if there is anything to make a double tap adapter

I'll keep you posted mate

Depends what tank size you are after but there are plenty of used baffle tanks on fleebay with tapes already fitted that come up from time to time which can go really cheap to save messing about with that one.

Cheers smurf,I've had a good look about over last week nothing tho always the case when u need one quick.

I've got a new lad starting at half term and just got him a backpack and sl22 so need something so he can fill it with quick

Also after a trolley if you no anyone

Thanks Stevie,

Yes I can just imagine my tank having a permenent leak after i've been at it with the drill lol.

Smurf- there must be an easier way I need to get this sorted tomorrow really and my tank is caged and bolted in.

How come its not already got an outlet in it then?

Myself using a purefreedom trolley which is just the same as using a pump box in the van I just drop the inlet hose and filter end into the lid of the tank instead of using containers so never bothered to use the oulet on the tank myself.

There must be some sort of long reach tool, or something that you can put together with a pair of vice grips and a pole. The nut goes on the inside, the threaded fitting and tape are inserted from outside. So you just need to hold the nut in place long enough till you get it slightly tight. The nut should grip well enough to tighten the rest fully from the outside surely.

If you are worried about getting it tight, and the tap positioned right, don't fit the tap directly. I.e. mine exit has a straight piece out of the tank ending in a screw thread, and the tap is screwed onto that. Actually, a T piece and tips to that, but that bit isn't so important… unless you are running a van mount as well as filling barrels / backpack, then 2 taps

Sorry I cant take a photo ATM, I have a very bad tempered 4 year old I am trying to stop getting totally out of control right now.

Theres no outlet there Smurf, it's a Pure Freedom van mount. If you drop hose into the top of the tank how is it pumping the water to your trolley container? I wish they stuck an outlet on the tank this is gonna be some faffing around.

Ok WWC.

Did you look all around the tank as one must be there surely?

I know one guy instead out drilling through the bottom of the tank to fit another outlet to fill his backpack fitted a 12 volt bulge pump and hose instead through the lid of his tank.

If you look through the old posts you maybe able to find it.
