Hi all,

What do you boys thinks is the best technique to clean the the horizontal bit thats sometimes underneath the fascia, sorry I don't know what the name of it is? I've attached a picture, its the part with the vents in. I've managed to clean it but it was a real struggle due to the angle. View attachment 3670

It's called a soffit. Angle your brush so the jets would point to the sky if the pole was vertical. They run like buggery out of those vents. Get a sill brush with fan jets for that job. You will probably have to run over the vents after the dripping has stopped with your brush and water turned off.

i just go along it with my wfp and rinse and if the customer has a out side tap connect my hose reel to that. And if the vents keep bleeding dirty water i leave for a couple of mins then with out the water running i fold a scrim place it over the pole brush and pull it along the vent.

Thanks Gents  that's more or less what I did today but man it was though lol, especially above the extension. Came up really nice though, customer was well happy. ;-)

I had to pole that one from that consevatory ladder you see in the pic and reach as far as I could from the ground on the other side to finish off. Then deep clean the conservatory roof and sides.

The front looked a bit cleaner after I had finished too.;)

No wonder they are good earners, the ladder only guys must turn them down. Unless it's in Bradford

Surprised they got planning permission for that, it's a big footprint, uses a lot of garden, big percentage added to house and had the side windows

If you advertise a service then you should be able to do most jobs using the right kit.

WFP has it's advantages or I would have had to turn that one down any many more jobs that I go to quote on.

The remaing garden on that one is still very big you just can't see it in the photo.

Got my slx22 yesterday /emoticons/smile.png. It's very impressive looking, would never have imagined how light yet strong feeling fully horizontal. Haven't put the brush on yet

I'd actually like a conservatory like that, imagine growing fresh chili and tomatoes for curries :)

On one job I had to keep brushing past a big bush but it wasn't growing tomatoes or chili's. I recognised the smell right away and I came home stinking of it./emoticons/biggrin.png

The chap said he was keeping it for his brother which I thought was funny.

All I can say is I'm glad I did not get stopped by the fuzz on the way home as my cloths stank of it /emoticons/biggrin.png

As excuses go, that wasn't the most believable :) bet he needed the conny roof nice and clean to get the sun in to have the buds form nicely. Is it a regular or one off? I think growers are meant to be really common place these days, there's about three shops for that gear near me, all in business for years, tomatoes arnt that popular to grow under lights ;-)

That bush I was on about was growing outside in a boarder close to a conservatory and was huge and thriving. Bloody thing stank and was in the way whilst I was working.

The chap did offer to trim it for me and give me the cuttings but I kindly refused as you do.
