Guttervac attachment

WCF

Help Support WCF:

if it just a vacuum cleaner then no as you need to use a wet & dry vac for gutter clearing

If guttering is full of water like this one the all I do is unblock the downspout first so there is no need to suck up large quantities of water in the vac then have the hassle of getting rid of it.

If so any nozzle type you got with your guttervac will suck up water surely?
No it cleans gutters brilliantly im thinking of an attachment abit like the end of a hoover to clear standing water from drives etc

Do you have a dump hose on your vac? Mines got one but haven't explored using it as a 'water pump' yet, as you are saying? I assume if you fit a dump hose, it will drain as it fills.

Smurf, on that pic it's its the drain that's blocked, wouldn't you want to drain the gutter first or the whole lot would Rush out when the drain block was released?

I bought a reducer cuff from omni & a set of floor tool.

One jpressure washer job with standing water I could not be arsed to get me vac out of the van as it has no auto dump as the chap said "don't worry I will get me pond vac out instead" which worked a treat./emoticons/smile.png

This is the same one he used

For really deep water you can use a dirty water submersible pump to get most of it off the surface then vac the remaining up.

Most decent wet vacs a fitted with a drain outlet pipe to drain water out of the drum. However you can't have that open with the vac running or the vac will loose most of its suction.

I think what you call a drain you are refuring to the downspout opening at the top in the guttering?

I mean the surface ground level drain entrance.

Good point about the dump, would have to be dumped then resumed then

On your other post smurf, that house clean, did ŷou do the soffits etc with sill brush and the windows with a soft brush or same for both?

On that one I kept the gardiner stiff radial sill brush clean so used it on everything

When dealing with a blockage I alway check the type of drain it has and unblock that aswell if need be.

I just thought if that was the issue, you might want to drain the rest first, as might be a flood, I guess you could tell by the downpipe outlet.

I got the super lite medium mixed bristles one, but it didn't dig into my intricate wooden soffit, not sure if a sill one would or it would have to be a hand job

I'm not worried about a flood as you should have seen some of the ones I done in the past.

Always best to warn the owners to stand back first though as when one goes it goes rather well /emoticons/biggrin.png

I usually need to change after doing the washing up, so I've got no hope

swimming pool inversion service perhaps ;-)

Best help get the little ones in bed as they are playing up as it's the holidays and I'll be sleeping In The proverbial kennel if I don't help. catch you tomorrow
