new backpack from gardener today when pole is connected and I turn the flow tap to off it leaks water out of the ez snap fitting I'm new to backpack and this fitting it was fitted by gardener with the backpackView attachment 3760

I'm sure Alex will be along soon with an easy way you can fix it without sending it back

have you checked the fitting is crimped tight, and not just left on hose ready to tighten.

if you phone them or email them he will send you a couple of o rings to fit on. you dont need special crimpers, you can use plyers or cutter to tighten the sides up onto pole hose.

is there anyone on here from Chesterfield, to go and fit a o ring on his hose, for him to get going.

just put help needed in chesterfield.

im sure someone will be along to help you out.

That what happens when they use single crip rings as obviouly it's not sealed onto the barb properly. You will need to crimp it some more to stop the water getting past it. Either that just cut it off/spread it apart and as suggested and put a jubilee clip on it instead.

If that don't work if it was me I would cut that off and throw it away ,add a little plumbers tape and attach the hose with a small jubilee clip and tighten that with plyers for a good snug fit

Ok if doesn't work can u just remove the O ring or cut the back pipe and start again? Also I want to fit the flow tap to the pole any ideas?

It does not look like this has been tightened correctly - apologies for this. I will feed this back to the team who are responsible for fitting these on before they get sent out.

It will need tightening a little bit more - you can usually do this with a pair of wire cutters - crimping from either side of the fitting to tighten it. Alternatively if you have the correct O Ring crimpers then these can be used.

If crimping it tighter does not work then please let me know via my email - [email protected]
