Been out a hour soddin rain

Not everyone is as flexable as me i can appreciate you need to get your work done but not all customers like that, but it will always rain after u clean them at some point! Lol

I dont have kids so i cqn start work at say 3 and work till 7 and fell ontop of things

I will do it if its booked in I have one booked in for thursday and it doesnt look so good weather wise but they get it wrong so often I take no notice...besides its an in and out and gutter fascia wash so I will just do the insides whilst it rains and the gutters fascia it doesnt matter and so....I may as well finish the windows too...its okay cause I will use my special self drying water...../emoticons/biggrin.png

Just remember though surfaces can get really slippery when wet so don't take any chances @cheapncheerful

Haha, i need to take some lessons from boarcity
a lot depends on whats driving you .

theres no right or wrong, if you only work 1 day a week , or 7 days wearin dunlop and stinking like old Roquefort , who cares . playing the poverty card is a role that most windies do and that gets very good tips, less so if you let on that youre a secret millionaire !

as it happens i want to work 5 days in all weathers

if somebody comes outside to complain about the weather [and potentially stall my progress] iv found a good idea is to immediately change the conversation ,dramatically .turning away from the complainer - a shout goes up ,followed by "what the **** was that"

tip- practice the touretts shout at home beforehand

The moment you have to start swearing in front of a customer you've instantly lost the argumemt

Cheers norm , was towed away this afternoon so should have it now Thursday all being good, don't work Fridays as my nipper only does half a day at nursery so I'll start again fresh Monday next week /emoticons/smile.png
happy days

enjoy the chill time

when my van broke down the towing guy instead of towing into the mechanics yard was running late and left it outside near the gates unknown to me

when i phoned the garage asking about my van which i had arranged to be worked on guy told me they didnt have it then asked is it silver trafic and to hold on a min.

came back on phone says tow truck guy had left overnight with the keys lying in it outside their gates

this made me>/emoticons/sad.png( then :whew:

Just off phone to garage ,my cars a mess ,when the car stopped it stopped because my flywheel tour a hole through my gear box and has damaged the bolt on the engine, recon 6speed box talking £800 as well as the new flywheel dmf new clutch talking about £2300 I am soo ****** of, it's a low mileage decent car and worth more than double that when fixed so I'll get it fixes as its worth nothing as is

Sorry to hear that @abs ...Are you still going to get it fixed?

Can't you get one from the breakers yard to put in it yoursef then get shot of the car?

I would get a lump from a breakers if you can see it running and swap it

A lot cheaper and sell it like smurf said

No I can't be doin with all the messing about and want it done as I've new work waiting on me ,I'm so peed of with vehicles my motorhome is in the garage too having the roofbox removed and a metal plate glued down and it put back on again as it leaked during the snow /emoticons/sad.png cars are making a huge dent in our savings /emoticons/sad.png

id go and have a look at the gearbox . itd be easy for a garage to pull a flanker and say that the gbox is busted and simply refit the undamaged box . i was a mechanic many yrs and cant recall ever seeing what u describe

another thing, you usually cannot exchange a damaged casing box for a recon , the reconditioners wont take them.

find out who the reconditioners are and ring them to see if your garage are buying a box -or not...
