Gutter camera

WCF

Help Support WCF:

I can survey a large house in mins without the need to get my ladders of the van. For quick surveys with an lcd touch screen fitted I just hit the record button stick the pole up and away I go. That way there is no need to faff about with connecting it to a smart phone as I can view the vids & pics I’ve taken straight from the camera and show the customers as well if I want.

I do a camera survey foremost for my own benefit so can see in advance any issues if wanting to use a guttervac and price the job up on how bad the job is going to be. Also show the customer why they are having overflowing issues etc too.

Not only that I have a permanent record of the job so can refer back to it at any time as I also record any access issues etc. It's also handy to use pics extracted from vids to use for marketing photos or share on the likes of this forum.

Most jobs I get are awkward ones that it seems no one else wants/can't do as they are not tooled up and experienced to do it safely. Customers will pay more knowing the job is going to be done properly & safely by an old pro like me.. /emoticons/biggrin.png

Camera lasts about 1.5 hrs, watch 4 hours. You can get cheap spare batteries on ebay but they don't last as long but that's to be expected. I only survey before and after so don't drain batteries that much.

This video is quite interesting too for a low cost inspection option. Obviously you can't see in real time but you can play it back straight away.

My hero 4 has turned up and I have opted to go with the extra battery and LCD backpacs.

I've also bought a rubber protective case for it.

Has any of you modified one of these so you can swap bacpcs with the camera in the rubber cover?

As its a ***** getting it in and out.
