Quoting a job tomorrow with one of these.. How much would you charge for this sort of job say two windows on front of the house. And a pole would be the only way to trad those 2 windows above the conservatory right?

Looking at that, you could almost place half your ladder across it, like a plank, then walk along it. Probably be dangerous though....

It would be a nightmare to try and pole over that. I have a conny with the exact same setup but I am very lucky that they give me the key code to let myself in and clean the windows from the inside. Otherwise I would just pass the job on, or say sorry I cant get to them, the trad method has its limits if you want to stay safe.

I hate doing low pitch conservatory roof like that as they are a pain in the **** to clean even using wfp method. I take it you will be cleaning the roof frames etc too?

I know this is the trad section but that job is crying out wfp

Cheers guys.. Yeah going inside would be ideal especially as she says they're filthy. The roof on the conservatory isn't see through glass from what I can see on street view. Annoying the last 2 jobs I've gone to quote have been the same

We do a few like this, not easy, we use a damp applicator to soap up then a fixi clamp and microfiber scrim to buff to a good finish. Found it's the best trad way to get a quality finish.
In case you dont know this is a Fixi clamp https://www.clickcleaning.co.uk/products/unger-fixi-clamp-1383?utm_source=googlebase&utm_medium=shoppingfeed&gclid=Cj0KEQjw0fOoBRDn88Pol8bqhN0BEiQARGVJKsx_Eaw-VFJ_W5okLz_0lW4oS4x8B509SoeHfoCHGhsaApWh8P8HAQ
Thanks Green do you use a harris pole or something similar to do that?

yeh er well you can walk safely along the glass holders but dont tell anyone I told you of course I WOULD wfp these days well er I THINK i would yep I would.....well to be fair ...honest ...it does work ...honest ...well most of the time.../emoticons/biggrin.png

Are you taking about just the top windows and the sides of the conservatory or does that include the conservatory roof too?

I'd charge £16 for the back of this house what would you guys go for?

That seems very cheap to me but each to their own I guess. I also think would be very diffucult to clean the tops from the inside properly

Let us know how you get on

Top windows with pole and 0° swiveloc

Piece of p###

The roof i would charge well for as a pain

0° swiveloc for out of reach bottom windows:

Unger 0° Window Cleaning Handle In Action:

At a push you could use a liquidator handle but isn't as effective

Moerman handle as a 0° swivel:

I can do that on a long pole but you could use it for straight side to side pulls and then run a cloth round the edge

One of those vids isn't me..will be the skinny guy lol

That and the pole are a very handy bit of kit

Shop windows

High ground floor windows

Over bushes etc

Saves getting rose thorns stuck in you
