@paul1

If your TDS is higher than 100 then get an RO This a good value one

Get a Di resin vessel. This one is a good price

For resin, get Tulsion MB 115. Here is the best one (top)

For a Trolley if you don't want to DIY Get a Pure Freedom one which is good quality.

http://www.purefreedom.co.uk/water-fed-poles/trolley-systems/pure-freedom-25-litre-trolley-with-charger.html

For an extension to your pole, get 30m of Gardiners all season pole hose. (this is not the hose used for a van mount but is fine fore a trolley)

http://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/pump-hose/hoses/all-season-pole-hose-8mm-od-30m.html

and connectors for the pure freedom trolley and to your pole.

http://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/pump-hose/hose-fittings-adapters/professional-hose-couplings/ez-snap-range/ez-snap-trade-female-end-stop-coupling-6mm-barb.html

Get a SLX 22 pole with quick loc angle adapter, Super lite medium mixed dual trim brush, Pencil jets, rubber pvc yellow hose with flow valve and EZ snap tail.

http://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/water-fed-poles/telescopic-poles/slx-ii-carbon-fibre-pole/pole-slx-22.html

Don't bother with a reel to start with. just wrap the hose around the Trolley. /emoticons/smile.png

How long roughly will the 25ltr resin last me in hard water area 288? and how many bags would you recommend getting from the off when setting up?

Paul, with that RO that I gave you a link to, it will pull the water readings down to the mid 20's, so, a 25 ltr bag of resin will last you a long time. If say, you use 500 litres of water a week to start with, it will last you a year or more.

DONT use just a DI when the TDS is in the hundreds cuz, as Tench says, it wont last long and is expensive

Green, would really like to know how you fair. It will never be spot on, especially in larger water consumption, but the aim is to get it as close as possible.

For example we had a customer try it out the other day, he said he used 2500ltrs a day (over two vans) the calculator gave a reading that the resin would be used up a few months earlier than it actually has been. It turns out most days they got back to base with a few hundred litres left in the tanks so they use less water the next day when refilling. When this was taken into consideration it proved pretty much on the nail.

Also depends on the resin used.. /emoticons/smile.png

Well I dont consider my self large consumption as we still trad shed loads but I burn an easy 500L per day so 2500L per week on my van. I reckon my next filter change is due June so I will start a log then and post it on here.

500L a day and still doing trad is a lot of water per day. Are you using any water saving devices?

So go for tulsion then seems to be most recommended on here..

Can it just be left alone in resin tank then for ages until needs changing or do you need to do anything to it?
