Seriously buddy get a van mount, I have just converted. Not only do I finish earlier but I also get more work done in that time. Can't believe I used to lug containers about for 2-3 years. What a headache that was.

overall id say reel is best, but like you say does have its problems, on the bigger houses you dont have to go back to van for another barrel nor do you have to fill the barrels or lug them about but the hose can catch on everything, break stuff and get tangled when reeling back in. on main roads its not great trailing hose everywhere and if you cant get parked bang outside a trolley would be easier. I think its best to have both

When I went from using a pf trolley as got fedup of humping water containers about for my old berlingo I just bought another frame protection thing like you have at the back of the driver’s seat and bolted it to the back of the passenger seat (mountings are already there just need the bolts)
exactly what i've just done got it off ebay £10 & its local so i can pick it up, glad someone else has done it cos i wasn't sure it would be safe

Nice in jim, you only use a trolley? No tank in the van?
Tank will probs be my next purchase, when I have more than a few per day. i haven't the work load to justify it yet. The vans a bit pokey but 200l would Prob be all I'd ever need.

I'd like to build a trolley too when I get a chance, then keep this one for backup

They are from Xline system, the hose reels in my opinion are not the best, poweder coating already falling off and the parts are not of the best quality, but will do for now as they came with the system I had them do for me. The reel stops are just a bit of shaped metal screwed into the van floor thatallows the hose reel leg to fit underneath to stop it moving about. It actually works very well.
