Dig your style:thumbsup:...but no woman touches my cloths!!/emoticons/biggrin.png
PS: I like your web page - where did you get that done?
I took a chance on one of the guys advertising on ebay, he did a good job for the silly cheap price he charged. I'll be hopefully updating the stock pics for some with my ugly mug, van, etc. to give it a more personal touch.

Wash the cloths with washing powder or liquid etc like normal clothes but DON'T use conditioner or softener as it will stop them working

And don't tumble dry microfibre

Well since they are full of detergent anyway, nothing but water. I use very heavy detergent in my window cleaning water.

I handwash my scrims/microwipe as well. Washing machine is just going to cause excessive wear I think. Don't use many per day, as I generally only clean glass, not frames etc. Even less, now I am into the whole dog earing thing

I just put my cloths in the sink to steep with soap powder for half an hour then put them in the machine to rinse. Works perfect and not a lot of hassle

Nice one! Looks good anyhow.

cheers fellas!

I only asked as I was tlaking to some guy who says he just washes them without washing powder, and this seemed a bit odd.He was also saying he hasn't cleaned windows with any liquid cleaner for two years, and just has water in his bucket!!?

Not heard these practices until now, and I've been cleaning since 1993.

Yeah seems a bit strange, need to use soap powder to get the black marks out and no soap on the windows well thats a different matter..... lol but each to their own

Thanks mate. It seems to get a lot of compliments off the female custies. Probably the girly blue and the gormless bird with the mug stareing out the window that appeals to them.

On the subject of your thread, we just use normal washing powder, no softener. Don't like the idea of not using soap, ther'll be no slip, and the soap cuts through the grime too.

yeh I have mentioned before...

I fling em at the wife and say...clean em..

straight in the washing machine....but not too hot../emoticons/biggrin.png

went bloomin mad last week as had to make one scrim last for ages as had left em all in the hall...

Well like I said, if you've already got lots of detergent in the scrims from days work, then just washing with water is fine (just try putting a scrim in a sink with a few litres of water and see how soapy the water is, once you've squeezed it around for a few seconds).

But no detergent in his bucket? That's just ridiculous, unless he was mopping and scriming all day with a leather?
