What annoying things did colleagues do when/if you were ever employed as a window cleaner?

For me, the single worst thing is the situation where you have someone who doesn't clean top windows, you have to clean top windows all day while they do the bottoms. Now, this wouldn't be so bad, but some insist on working ahead of you all day, cleaning bottom windows before top windows have been done. They also insist on working underneath you while you're up a ladder (puts me on edge, since it's dangerous).

This means that you are having to use a more or less dry applicator, mopping up water, catching water back on your applicator, wiping (or even full cleaning again) windows that have already been done that you've ****** water all over. And also, that person has the bucket and buggers off down the road, and you have to walk 100 yards for a dip.

I mean one guy I used to work with was a complete hypocrite. He would applicate half a window, then rake his blade over it all (couldn't do that, I had too much self respect), think nothing of working 5 houses ahead of me. But if I ever worked ahead of him (like it should have been), he used to get really angry. "drop down!", he'd say. Some kind of inferiority complex, or something...

And this guy wasn't even getting paid by the house. Not that he was my boss, he was just a fellow employee, but he'd make us effectively work so much faster, that we finished the week early and basically did ourselves out of a days wages. All so that he could have friday off and go and blow all his wages on a horse. And he didn't even do any collecting, I had to do it all...

That would drive me utterly insane![delusional]

my brother cleaning georgians was annoying...no logical path...top right bottom left etc etc..but he reckoned he did em all.

being near my brother when he talked to custys....a little embarrassing..

my brother blowing his nose on his scrim and then carrying on cleaning the windows.

my dad and brother eating sweets......hmmmm lovely hi def sound..

my brother full stop.

my dad always dropping me off and bugg ering off...for hours...and leaving me cold and wet...

and as for my gran....well we had my grandad on fridays...so she made the butties..and it was great....

cheese and onion butties

we got mars bar and cheese and onion crisps as well..

great....for the first year...but then...it became a bit...predictable..

yes year two and it never changed...

I did go off mars bars for a while.

so I came in one day and said to my mum why do you bother with all these different meals I would just like eggs and bacon..

and my dad heard...

yeh...eggs and bacon three times a day for three months...

I had to crawl back to my mum point made by my dad because I got stomach ache..

well he actually got sick of making it and really hammered it in grease..

but...

I still like my egg and bacon.

families who would have em....

I have a lad who insists on wearing a beanie hat even on the hottest of days

And he also puts the hood up on r work hoodies!

Drives me mental:mad:

And when you tell him to do something it's never just ok I always get, why????

Why???why???told him he sounds like my 2 year old daughter that's her favourite word at mo

I worked with a guy who had a bit of a habit

White **** round his nose all day but reckoned he wasn't doing anything

It was shortly after that i said to the boss i wanted to sub work off him rather than work for him so i could do my own work as well as his surplus

Had to get away from that numpty

How can you be like that and then jump around on ladders all day??

He was a friend of the bosses family so he turned a blind eye

" I'm just nipping to the car to get something" was his usual line

having to tell guy ya employ to wipe bottom frames to prevent tiger stripes

over and over  again

Yep pisses me off just wipe the bloody bottom frames me!!! Another one is stretching to a high window rather than using the little point ladder! Really irritates me as he thinks it looks fine but when you get square on you see how badly cleaned it is!!!!

Smoking in the van (even with windows down) really irritates me.

Or when he pulls the window down on the coldest winter day because he is hot - well im cold

Btw @cheapncheerful you could do stand up comedy
