Do u guys window clean in the rain?random question I know lol

Been raining most the day in 'sunny Brighton' ......but unusually for me I have just cracked on and continued to get the pennies rolling in.....got wet socks though......& I wish some customers would pay me in cash as I'm thirsty & hungry.....all been bank transfers or notes left so far /emoticons/smile.png

I did my 'haunted' house in the rain this morning, but the wind is high now and I don't like getting my pole out in the wind. It splashes everywhere. /emoticons/wink.png
Is it still haunted? Any sights/sounds this time?

Nothing ghostly today,......just a little brown and white Jack Russell who appeared from no where and barked at me all the time I was there. I tried to make friends but he wasn't having of it.

today was very gusty here on the Suffolk coast so after 1st few houses i called a halt to it then treated the lads to lunch - its a bi-ennial thing , the treat of a meal out . then someone suggested we all browse round tescos, so we walked the aisles like lost souls for an hour ,then went home all confused !

We had heavy rain first thing in the morning cleared up around 12 but went canvassing instead of windows.

yeh my plan to sneak the bungalow in the rain didnt work....I got caught..

she was okay though as I explained I was only cleaning the frames and was coming back for the windows later...

so as a new custy we stood nattering in the rain for ages and then she beckoned me in for a cuppa...

seems a waste of time but new jobs always spend ages telling you their life story and them yours and as I did it in the rain not wasted..

I always clean in the rain (unless it's absolutes lashing it down) one of the down sides of doing a outsode job. I just put on a full set of waterproofs and clean on.

I do always say if there in "I give a full rain guarantee so if they don't dry like they normally do call me within 24h and I will come back and do them for free". To date I don't think I have ever had anyone call me back to say they have dried bad.

Just make sure your waterproof trousers are not tucked into your boots like I have done a few times !haha

or you time it just right like me today....as I headed inside to clean../emoticons/biggrin.png

yep donned all my waterproofs yesterday and thought sod it no one in get stuck in...and of course she came back early and caught me..

but just said I was washing the frames and would call back later so not a problem.

as the saying goes..just crack on../emoticons/biggrin.png

should be okay for a few days now hopefully..

Why do you worry cheapie?

I knocked on several custys today

Just turn up..get ladders set..knock door..climb ladder and start working

Custys answers

" morning..just letting you know I'm here"

" morning Dave"

Job done

It's only bleedin rain

ahhh lots of funny buggers around here...up in da grim north.

but as the price I clean a house for starts to look silly and is due for a rise...it is true to say I AM more likely to just get stuck in..

my monthly work are all told your done whatever the weather or else....you wouldnt be monthly as it can rain for two days solid some times..and I would just run out of time to do em.

and of course I do many not ins what ever the weather..but I have so many jobs at home that if its raining I would rather get them done...

the worst weather of course is the rain then sun which means I cant justify staying at home..

ya know what daveyboy says..skin is waterproof...

never mind rain...bloody hail storm here...still I was in a nice sheltered spot under the eaves..

I dont think it messed up my windows....but I wasnt amused it was a new job and I was out to impress...

mind you....when I said a tenner for the inside of what she showed me...nobody told me about the other conny inside as well...some people.../emoticons/biggrin.png

still the flats that come with it will be extremely fast clean next time..

AND.....PROBS IN THE RAIN...

The way I see it is that we live in the UK and its for ever raining in the UK if you work 4/5 days a week and it rains twice your buggered your not going to have enough time to catch up. So like I said before just clean and if anyone says anything just say if they don't dry like normal call me within 24h and I will do thenm again.

okay I er bottled out of one today because..custys dont like it ...its just not the done thing...unless of course..

there at work../emoticons/biggrin.png
