Lost a Custie to VISON!

WCF

Help Support WCF:

I work with a lady and we get recommended because we are friendly, I believe you can't be too nice, always got time for a cuppa with the custy's, doesn't do us any harm, if we lose one we lose one, some mess you about but the trouble is window cleaners take it personally, I don't let it get to me now.
That is the way forward for me. I am building my round up and going really well, i love the job so so much, its just a joy. The only part that gets me down or did do is messer customers, I am not taking it personally anymore when they say "oh can I leave it now hubby doing windows" etc or the **** ones that are out when you turn up, re arrange and then canx the day before only when you send a reminder they tell you again "oh no money".

I now lose a custies I wipe them off my data base and books and HISTORY! I have also this week again rubbed off 4 custies who always canx and move date, i just deleted them off everything and will ignor them if they contact me, can not be assed, once they mess you about thats enough, i have learnt this.

Only the other day lost a £35 clean, thing is I did a more then requested job on it, it was perfect went to town on first clean, frames sills, glass and surrounds to windows, pefrection was happy, thne get a messsae oh hubby mate doing it now after I planned a day around this job as was in a different area and a big price, I am not getting wound up now, jus id not respond and deleted and like some of you on here re posted on FB for area and got two houses both £14 each, so happy and they seem really nice and look as though they are proper customers, so just always in my opinion, DELETE THEM and move on and get new ones, laugh them off, aint no getting me down, next custie please!

It seems they go around putting free window cleaning vouchers through doors and ppl interested can go to their site to fill in a google powered form.
Yes it does work for me @spruce
Maybe because I have cookies switched of

I dont know if it is going to help you in any way to get over that customer loss Adamangler but here is what happened to me in relation to ukwindowclean. I am doing a few houses in a row on one road and above company do a couple on the other side of the road so I see them occassionally. A couple of weeks ago I was there grafting away and saw their van getting parked up didnt think much of it just kept grafting. After like twenty minutes a can feel somebody is standing behind me so headphones off.and i can see an older guy and he says i can see you doing a good job on this house so i says thank you do you live nearby would you like yours doing too when I am around as you do. He says yes please because what just happened to me i had this big company clean them for me but today when they turned up i was just going shopping but after five minutes realised i forgot my wallet so went back and they were gone already! It could not have been more than 10 minutes and he lives in a biggish 4 bed property so there you go. He sacked them straighaway on the phone and hired me. So dont get discouraged and just keep doing a good job

I wonder if the quality was fine though? Surely quality matters most rather than how long it took them.

It may have been over 10 minutes and he just didn't realise the time.

He may turn out to be a problem customer but then again mayb not.

To be honest I wouldn't be much more than 10 minutes and I class my work as very thorough. All frames/doors cleaned etc.

Ive seen them working and taking ages, i guess it depends on the operator.

I go as quic as i can but average 20-30 minds per house, cant understand how guys can do a semi in 10 mins

Jonathan Sanderson would you do us all a favor and make a video of a maintenance clean you do so we can see where we all go wrong? I would love to be able to do an average house in 10 mins heck even 15 would be great

This is a video I recently did to show some how I worked.

This property is a 4 bedroom detached house (WITH CONSERVATORY)and takes me just over 10 minutes to clean. All frames, ledges and doors washed down.

I also know that I work to a high standard. I never get complaints and regularly check my work. All work is referrals etc, so I know I'm not splash and dash.

I also know that I'm by no means the fastest. Some on here would knock spots off me.

Point is that 10 minutes for a 4 bedroom detached is easily achievable and doesn't mean that quality is lacking.

See above. /emoticons/smile.png

jonathan how much do you charge for that house
No comment! Haha.

I'm up in Scotland, so prices aren't great, but at the speed and efficiency that I work it means it can balance out for me.

At the front there is only 2 upstairs and one downstairs, plus front door. I charge £10.

Trad guys around me charge £5-£7. I know. Yikes.

cant argue with that jonathan:D

great video nice action....I have tried to make one myself and will do soon to give you all a laugh...

twice I tripped over the bloody hose and pulled the trolley over today...

and hauled the trolley up to do some roof walking so didnt put too much water in and yep it was one two foot window short of water....grrrr..

and catch things with my hose ....hmmm

its actually easier to just try and lassoo things in advance ..on that roof walk I managed to catch a garden bench down below....I was NOT amused...

now you know why I like to wfp when no one is about...

and ...yep ...I DID NOTICE....it was the nice glass... in your vid...

yeh plenty like that at a tenner around me too..

Wow that is some speed i have to admit. I think I rinse a bit too much that is where i am going wrong. Also it looks like all the windows in the above example are hydrophillic which helps but still quite impressive

The difference is jonathan knows what he is doing and is skilled at his job all be it having to use vision as makes his job easier to do.
