What's the average use of your rubber before you change it

Are you getting good edges, or are you detailing?
Zero detailing mainly, except when i make a mistake or certain seals and angles are hard to get perfect.

Main detailing is the frames and sill below the glass, and usually the bottom edge of the glass. U got a liquidator?

Yes, I've just been writing on here re my liquidator in 'disappointed with Wagtail slimline flipper'

Well wagtails are not everyones cup of tea, ive got one but rarely use it
Well, it's each to his own I suppose. It must have taken me a year, trying I, leaving it, before I would say that I could do it. Now, for first squeegee I wouldn't use anything else.

I change mine possibly 3 times a year if that ,sod blading when I've got the magic pure ; )

changing rubber as much as you can makes your job easier and helps avoid repetative strain disorder cos your not pushing so hard and your arms are more relaxed

Funny innit. .it took me 2 attempts on one of my windows to get the hang of a wag and now I'm in love lol

The first time I tried it, I realised the potential, understood the principal, but when it came to being up a ladder, leaning out, it was different.

I still think i picked it up so quick due to using 0° and 30° swiveloc by hand in the past

Usually to offer my advice and to try and help people out with my over 20 years experience, why ?what about you ?
I started in 1966. What I meant was, if you are wfp and only using a squeegee now and again, then it's not relevant to someone who is using one all the time.

yep couldnt be arsed to fight with my pulex or liquidator so changed my rubber and alls right with the world...

its just a small change to make cheapie happy...

oh for fecks sake in this heat if anything goes wrong....I SERIOUSLY lose it..

My rubber last weeks...months even. I don't understand what people do to destroy them so quick.

I do however take a lot of care how I store my squeegee at the end of the day. I leave it in my belt and upright in the back of my car but always make sure the rubber is never resting against anything.

It really does puzzle me how people get through them so fast and I can't help feeling a lot of people destroy them in the belt after a job.

Mart.

Not all are blessed with nice plastic or upvc windows, i mostly got wooden frames and maybe one with plastic every other month. And all going uo agianst wood all day just taer up the rubber ends, red razr helps a bit and sometimes it lasts two days but thats a absolute maximum.

I store my rubber and channel with care like you so the use is maximized.
