Looks like a nice little earner Jake. What brush did you use for the cladding mate?

Reason I ask is that I was asked to test my brush on some cladding quite similar to that a few days ago in preparation for a clean this week.

So two builders held a bit of spare cladding whilst I was asked to forcefully use my brush on it to check to see if any scratches or marks were left.

I know it wouldn't (and it passed their 'test' but got me thinking about what the best brush is. I'm planning to use black flocked medium Gardiner.

I use the facelift Phoenix brush mate, it's quite aggressive but it's the only way the bird poo comes off, it didn't leave any scratches, it's my fave brush actually!

It's the red one in the picture

You obviously don't hang about if you cleaned that lot on your own this morning. How long did it actually take you and did you have to do the inside glass as well...

No just outside smurf, and you know me by now smurf, I don't hang about, I work fast, (I must add, I don't claim to be the fastest window cleaner etc, but I know I'm faster than the average, from watching other wfp guys, they seem very slow! I try to work like a machine and keep pushing till its done)

Round the side where the dark green slats bit was, (which goes right down one side, I only took a picture of that window) I wfp' the top half then used my pressure washer for the bottom Half which meant it literally took minutes to do.

As for the silver facias, really I was only getting the bird muck and dirty marks off it, so wasn't like I was scrubbing it like a window (there were lots of bird strikes on it though)

Took me 4 hours all in all

Impressive mate. Would love to know the dough you charged for that! probably nearly enough to take one of the cars home for cash?? /emoticons/wink.png:rofl::rofl:

What would you charge?

It's not actually that much to be fair, there very tight!

If it was just to do the dotted bird splats and not every single inch of cladding ect and just the glass and judging by you saying it took you 4 hours I would probably go £200-£300 depending on if it's a one off or a frequent visit or not. Am I warm to what you charged?

Your spot on!

Yeah it's not all he cladding, it's just bird splats and marks, but there were a lot of them!

I'm not into gimmicks smutf, just normal pure and elbow grease is my motto, can't be bothered faffing with hot water heaters and vision and all that malark...

Yeah absolutly, I think we should all charge more, that way we will all

Be better off!

Definitely right. Easy to be tricked when your on the back foot or just starting out but nowadays I quote high with confidence to make them think hmmm he knows what he's talking about better go with him lol

Nice job for the portfolio mate. We have one that looks like that just near me. If you ever want the number just let me know and I'll get it for you.

Thanks mate, Not sure I could Travel up to Cambridge though..

Why don't you do it mate?

I've often thought about approaching them but I've gone off the commercial stuff. I think a building like that is just better suited by WFP anyway.
