but....mr taytay...dont forget to keep us posted on your new journey withit the dark side.../emoticons/biggrin.png
Dont worry cnc, I wiil keep you updated. I used the backpack for the first time yesterday on my most hated scariest windows. it was such a relief to get them done with the pole and backpack stood safely on the ground. It almost gave me a "stonk on"!. I then decided to try some of the lower windows, partly because they are the multi pane french style windows (pain in the ass!) and also to see what the results were like. I was a little shocked.....strange white marks on the panes. I did them 3 or 4 times, but the marks still appeared. I assumed this was soap and shite coming from the edges of the panes. This got me worried about the scary windows i had just cleaned, so i ended up climbing to them anyway, just to check. I was relieved to see that they were perfect. I later did some leaded windows, which turned out perfect, but then i still ended up tradding them as i didnt feel totally trusting of the pure. I then cleaned some windows at home....they turned out perfect too. I have a lot to learn though......it isnt just a matter of rubbing the glass with your brush!

Been watching lots of youtube videos regarding wfp technique....lots more skill to it than I had ever imagined.

I must have looked very sheepish when I first snook in with my backpack and pole.....I felt like a naughty boy with a secret

yep I get a lot of hit and miss with pure ...

yesterday was so funny with the window I had missed and thinking I couldnt be bothered to go back and check it up a ladder as all the others had been great...

but I did

and that one was terrible...so yep cheapie still checks em up a ladder...

did two today like that...said I would call back in a bit to check em and clean the sills...

doesnt take long....and its for my peace of mind as much as theirs..

I can see why some peeps on wfp drop a ******* and lose custies...

but doing all them feckin georgian squares..

its a no brainer..

Its an essential peice of window cleaning kit and I cant imagine life with out it now...

and yep...I was sheepish at first..it feels really really weird just turning up with wfp kit and not my belt on.../emoticons/biggrin.png

but not so bothered now...

You've dipped your toe now Tay. Sorry, but there's no way back. Welcome aboard amigo

Cnc surely doing wfp and then climbing ladders to check negates all the health and safety benefits of using wfp

You could just trad em if you're going up the ladder anyway

yep your right but...

I could sleep on a ladder...I love em...and..

I dont always go up and check ...for instance...who would check a bathroom etc..

as I DONT clean the sills with the wfp brush as really you have to alter the angle well on mine you do I consider it part of the job to just do the sills and eyeball the glass or...

maybe ...Im just a bit of a voyeur and dont want to miss out on the lacy g strings...

Do you think its the shite and soap still coming out when you get a bad window, or just grime from the frame. I imagine that georgian pane windows are the best for screwing up on with pure...so many bits of frame to hold shite.

It does feel very liberating but will carry on with 100% quality control at the moment.

he thinks he knows how to swear tuffers...
just wait till that hose gets caught..
Agree there Dave. Sometimes mine gets caught on ridiculous things and I look round and say 'like how the **** has it got caught on that!' Most common frase used by Tuffers every day is FFS.

White dots or a cloudy milky type of white marks?

and just how many times can I pull the backpack over...

we should start a list of all the things caught by hose it would be a very long list..

from a bench last week whilst on a roof....

to a fence panel...a xmas tree stand...the tiniest plant in the world...

and once I went to see and just caught it before a small pot full of cacti bit the dust..

look before you tug mrtaytay...now that sounds dirty to me...

Right, off to bed. The last two hours has been spent drinking Jaipur Ipa (5.9%), eating a massive load of hit spicy hummus and then loads of liquorice allsorts!. Eye of a needle tomorrow morning!

Cheers tuffers...yes they are vertical. Not on all though....some windows have been perfect. Its the tiny multi paned units that have been problematic.

as for the marks...he did say he got a little excited whilst using the pole:rofl:

I quite often taytay them....er...paragon them....

you have met the two types of glass then...

yep me off to bed or else it will bite me...

Hi, I love back packs, the one I have had has been working fine, day in day out, no issues. I did have one I thought, as it done same as yours, but it was the hose has kinked and stoped water flow so just in twisted and fine check your whole hose is not kinked at all.

I love the back packs, I am sticking with it, as I just literally pick itup and turn on and clean, job done place it back, no set up time or packing away time really at all. easy to get round a house or if you can not park near the house/flat etc, i often wonder about having a van and all hose issues or drapping a hose round a house or street and health and safty issues people tripping over it, I often see other cleaners fightingthe hose, not for me. I have lots of houses that a van with hose I would be at a loss trying to get the hose round. I have a spare back pack for any day it may go and needs fixing, so got cover planned and pole and hose etc....I had a long conversation about van mounts and back packs with another windy and I just do not see any real advantages imo, when I work using a van I just can not see what more it could offer, maybe not having to fill water a bit more on a larger clean, but its a few seconds to re fill, no major time loss.

Shame your back pack does not work, hope it gets sorted soon mate.

hi,

nice to hear from you scottie mr taytay did get it sorted....hes just getting dragged in by the force at the moment..he probably will try and fight as die hard traddys do but he will find it too late now../emoticons/biggrin.png

yep still love my back pack and for the work I do ...lazy me..four twenty five litres and the backpack is enough bearing in mind I trad a lot as well..

although ...the pics of that van on here tonight...does look nice...

anyway again, nice to hear off you and keep posting.it helps gav sleep at night....scottie hope your keeping well../emoticons/biggrin.png
