Ok since there is a few vinyl lp lovers like myself on here thought ide ask what you use to clean your vinyls to get the best results. Amazing how dusty your vinyls can get just sitting in the sleeve.

Used to collect vinyl. Got a few wot erg a few bob in me dads loft along with 2 50s dansette record players & god knows how many record collecter magazines. Used to have a little record cleaner set. Put the record on & spray it & wipe with a velvet cloth while records going round. Would imagine there must be somet on eBay. Worth looking.

oh loved my vinyl ..my lp collection was upto four foot high but...sadly ...it weighed too much and took up too much space....so I had to say goodbye..

really ****** off when they came out with the mp3 vinyl record conversion player.../emoticons/biggrin.png

its making a big comeback at the mo...

in keeping with this forum...you should use pure water to clean em:rofl:

There are plenty on ebay so thought ide ask before I part with any cash. I just got rid of my modern deck and bought a lenco from the 70s sound is phenomenal with the 70s amp beats digital hands down I reckon the 70s was the pinnacle of sound reproduction. Don't leave those decks in the loft that would be sacralidge.

your bringing back the memories now seye...

but ...I dont miss the sticking tracks...

yeh the sound was better...raw../emoticons/biggrin.png

it was my treat at college I bought two a week a quid a piece...loved listening to new sounds..

those were the days....

Before I toddle off just so I don't totally appear to be one of those long groin area things people are calling me lol, just use pure water and a microfibre. I have a very large vinyl collection and it's all I do.

Good point doger as I'm reading distilled water is what folks use with a cleaning solution.

I have around £k's of vinyl and all get cleaned with a slightly damp microfibre if needed

I scour the charity shops still a quid a piece mostly. The problem with digital is all instruments and vocals sound as if they are comming as one sound not individual. Where as with vinyl the instruments have their individuality.

I love the boot sales

Got this and a few others for 25p each and all classic tunes

Especially when some have writing on the label and are actually old promo copies from new York

25p luuuuvely

That's why i collect and sell old analogue studio equipment

Nothing sounds like the old stuff

Roland tb303 etc

I have strange tastes as house is my main type of music and always has been but also love punk ska dub reggae..a bit of metal (maiden, acdc and believe it or not pantera)

Lee scratch perry, kung tubby etc for old dub is excellent

Anything from classical to acdc, and all that's in the middle. Wasn't really into house or acid but to be fair didn't venture much into it but if you want to give me some good ones to look out for wouldn't mind looking out for some on my travels round the charity shops.
