View attachment 4804 couple of yrs ago he came up on me on the street and we had a chat. i knew he couldnt be a ladderman with his huge gut . i quizzed him casually "where is it you work then fellah?"

"well, one of the big places i do is the royal george pub,i do it in and out"

now the george is impressive, the real leaded windows and dozens of em , its a beefeater pub on the ringroad in ipswich.

later i mentioned this to other windies ,"weve got him!" surely we will see whoever is doin the george cos we all pass the place -we agreed wed text each other when we saw the george getting the clean

several yrs av gone by and nobody seen the george get cleaned yet

I know a few windies that are very well off, so it can be done, the guy who trained me (a close family friend) used to do £250 a day with me when I was an 18-19 year old, he's now working with a lad and pays him £60 a day (inflation etc), but is doing nigh on £300 a day!!! He has 850 customers now per 5 weeks, been window cleansing 20 years, doesn't touch wfp, pure trad, 90% domestic, but has been at it so long he's got a fantastic round, good prices, but last but not least, he works bloody hard, and I mean hard.

7am till 3:30pm 5 days a week, he's now got two kids, but is able to provide for them his wife, have nice cars, a lovely 4 bed detached house, and a nice holiday twice a year,

Persistence pays off, he doesn't wimp out at a bit of rain, do doesn't lose much time, (something I should learn!)

He's a hero in the windie game, never gets tired, loves his job, is a pleasure to be around, knows when to rest, someone to look up to for sure!

That's good but i wouldn't say bloody hard lol

When i was driving it was more like 5am til 7pm

Still 7 till 3 is a good slog on the glass

7 till 3:30 /emoticons/wink.png not 3

That extra half hour makes a difference

It does mate

I find doing windows the time goes so much quicker than doing anything else

Yeah defo, he doesn't really stop, just a few quick bites to eat then crack on, making a mint..

Great bloke as well, doesn't put a foot wrong..

I don't start before 9am

But also i do weekends for the odd job

Doing 1 in half hour inside and out

thats hard graft 7am to 3.30 five days getting through some graft there

keeping that going five days is gd weeks work

thought there were others like myself with rounds of 450+ every 4 weeks

doesnt take a genius to work out that u be on gd money like flash audi lovely house class van

is all easy to get if u do ur work and run it like a business i work 7.30 - i finish

I dream of working 7-3.30 for 5 days a week. For years and until recently I worked a manual job from 8-6 or 8-8 for 5/6 days a week. I think anyone working 8 hrs a day and earning good money, is working smart. Lots of people work hard, work long hours, don't take lunch breaks etc and aren't driving new audis and in big houses. Working smart is the key. And these much better (and flexible) hours is the main reason I got into this game. Just got to stay smart to make it worthwhile...

Yes mr bump

And not falling over would help lol

Some of the jobs i did after the guy i subbed off selling up makes 8 hrs on the ladders seem like part time

How i found time to do my small round of customers that i had for years as well i don't know

Now 9-5 on the glass seems a doddle

Yup so far I've not been working smart, I'm workless and dumb! /emoticons/wink.png Thats cool you kept a core of customers throughout even while doing other jobs, they must either pay well or wear short skirts /emoticons/wink.png And I like the phrase 'on the glass', I'm going to have to start using that, makes it sound like you've been out on the beers all day /emoticons/biggrin.png

Working hard has a bearing though bump, especially in this game, as if your always at a window your always making dough, my mate has good prices and works hard - a recipe for good money!
