I've finally cracked it

Made a new batch of liquid last night

2 litres asda eco washing up liquid £2.40

Whole 568ml bottle asda distilled malt vinegar 49p

Slip is excellent

Shines better than flash/eco

Takes all grease straight off (tested on horrible greasy insides today)

Don't know why i stopped using vinegar before

It has half filled old ubik container so should last a while also

I used to use proper ecover and a dash of vinegar

This seems to kick ass compared to that

@TolishAPurd swears by soap and vinegar..not sure of the quantities he uses though

At least this way i can claim it is 100%natural and safe to the environment. .people seem to love that

And also just lately my hands have been cracked and sore which I attribute to the load of flash i was using

I'm a fan of ecover and white vinegar, use tesco eco one as well now which seems just about as good. Vinegar really does give it a good shine.

The eco angle is good for the customers, and its good for you mate. The ecover to vinegar mix is a bit hard to explain, but no need to be to precise about it. Just use whatever amount of soap feels good, and then top it up with the vinegar. I probably get about 10 buckets worth out of one bottle, so a little goes a long way. The Tesco white vinegar used to be sold in glass bottles, but they are plastic now which is perfect for the van.

I couldn't find an eco one in tesco but asda one is great

Litre for £1.20 and a lot thicker than ecover so don't dry so quick on hot glass

So is vinegar commonly used by windies then? I know it's good for shining glass but I've never tried it in my solution, always presumed it would smell, especially doing insides! I guess you don't put enough in for the smell to be overpowering.

So let me get this straight, no water involved at all? do you get a lot of suds?

No rugby you got me wrong

That is my soap mix which i have some in a squirty bottle and add straight to applicator or wag scrubber and just water in bucket

You can add it to water like normal soap how i used to in my bucket but i find it better direct to applicator as i can control the consistency of the mix on the glass

It looks weird when you mix it as when shaken looks like a bottle of foam but when you squirt some out it is fine

Better call the catholic church and get em round then:D

I also have a piece of toast with the face of the virgin mary

Yep it does smell a bit but you only need a capful and as I've preached before its a natural deodoriser, customers have commented how fresh place smells once it dries.

Cool! I'll be buying vinegar tomorrow then

Actually could have done with it today! Did an inside for this old lady, prob hadn't been done for years, yellowy browny water running off the windows! House smelt like an ashtray!

Mine doesn't smell so much anyway cos it's in a squeezy bottle and an unger soab. Never owned a bucket, well not for window cleaning anyway.
