Hi folks

I consider buying the Unger TelePlus Pole System with 5 sections, 2m each. I have also found some trad starter kit on cleaningspot.co.uk, which includes also the Moerman T-bar and swivel squeegee grip.

Does anyone know if you can put the Moerman tools on the Unger Pole System? And what about Ettore T-bars and squeegee handles? Are those compatible with the Unger Pole System?

Any advice will be most appreciated.

The moerman swivel handle doesn't go on the ergotec locking cone. I had to mod mine by drilling it again
Thanks mate. And would you buy the Moerman Liquidator squeegees again? How do they stand in comparison with the Unger Ninja squeegees?

ettore doesnt fit on unger tip . i have 2 of the 5 sectioner teleplus poles in my van, well only 4 sections are carried and these are hated by all who have to use them, theyre so heavy and the clamps are a bad design [altho very long lasting]

. HOWEVER the 1st two sections are a real joy to use as a mini pole [on their own] for lowish homes

i use Wagtail squeegees

The moerman swivel handle does fit the optiloc cone but very loosley and tends to pop off the peg sometimes

I used to use the optiloc pole

Now i use a harris decorators pole which is 5m and 15 quid from b&q

Needs adapting to take the optiloc cone but well worth it and cheaper

£15 for pole £9 for adjustable crank about £3 for the cone and wagtails fit better than they do on a wagtail.pole

Thanks mate. And would you buy the Moerman Liquidator squeegees again? How do they stand in comparison with the Unger Ninja squeegees?
To be honest ninjas are sh1t

Liquidators are excellent if you are willing to modify your technique to suit

Very interesting, many thanks. Is there any better, albeit more expensive alternative to the Unger TelePlus Pole System? Something lighter, of as high (or similarly high) reach as the five section Unger TelePlus has, and ideally also compatible with the Unger and Wagtail tools?

I see daveboy1 has already replied in the meantime. Optiloc, Harris, ... has anyone good experience with yet another make of pole systems?

I use one of these for my wagtail and normal tools

pretty sure any waterfed pole [fitted with an unger tip ]will be better and lighter.

i once used a long fishing pole with a Wagtail pole tip , worked great just wasnt tough enough for everyday use .

in 8 yrs iv not ever used all 5 sections of a teleplus ,its a real Bear to use with 4 never mind 5 . 4 will reach all 3 storey buildings

i once had a short Ettore 2 section trad pole,i really liked it -the ettore clamps were a lot nicer to use than the unger . i bleve the biggest ettore pole isnt as long as the unger teleplus but most likely is nicer to use . downer is the ettore pole tips are smaller and only fit ettore squeegees and ettore poles are pricey

If you convert a harris pole use an unger adjustable crank as it has 2 spring loaded pins which line up with holes in the unger poles

That way if you drill corresponding holes in the spacer and harris pole it will click straight in with no bolts or rivets needed

I would show you but my pole has been converted differently with a 6 inch piece of optiloc pole

the best pole tip [for wagtail ] is the Anza pole tip. these are a beauty to use with a wagtail and very tough and light. i buy my Anza mini poles in Bn Q and cut off and graft the tips onto my Harris poles , harris is perfect pole View attachment 4947 length for normal houses
