I'm finding the rotary cleaner is amazing for flat surfaces, slabs especially are super fast with it, but block paving I find it doesn't blow all the weeds out and also not remove enough between the joints, anyone else find this? have I got the rotary adjusted correctly? or is this just how they are?

Cheers.

I can't say I've had that problem mate, mine strips them out every time. Done plenty of block paving nd its always fine. I'm sure your pressure washer is better than mine, are you sure you've not knocked the power down on yours by accident?

Well the jets are actually set quite high so may lower them, any idea how low yours are mate?
Sorry mate, I just realised that you are talking about the large rotary push along style cleaners? I thought you just meant a rotary nozzle.

What about using the rotary for the bulk of the paving and then just switching to a power nozzle to get rid of the remaining weeds?

Yeah I Don't mean turbo nozzle, 21" rotary, and God yeah the turbo rips them out incredibly quickly.

I have been doing exactly as you say but end up doing so much with the turbo I wonder if it would be quicker to just use it for the lot.

the rotary is only putting out 10.5 lpm through each jet so obviously not enough power , i always use the turbo nozzle on them jobs otherwise its a double pass

Yeah I use turbo nozzle for everything now, don't even get the fsc out the shed anymore

Yep, i've heard before that they have their uses, but have their limitations- think you might have found one.

For large slabbed areas they are incredible, I have done some really large patios in a very quick time, I am just struggling getting between block pavers, I am not sure its even the power, more the angle, almost like as it says the surface has to be flat, if I go over block pavers with it the then with the turbo the block pavers don't come up any cleaner, it just lifts the edges out better.

I changed the nozzles on my 16" cleaner to 15 degree ones instead of 25 which seemed to help quite a bit although it seems to want to take off (like a helicopter) a bit more now. I still have to go over everything afterwards with the turbo nozzle to get the remaining weeds out. However the fsc takes out 90% of the weeds and 100% of the dirt off the surface of block paving.

I find doing it this way saves time part on the cleaning process but mostly on the clean up process with the fsc preventing the **** from flying everywhere.

Just got into drive cleaning and pretty sure for a FSC to remove weeds you need at least a 30 litres a minute washer. My 15L does not touch them, so I always have to use the TL which just adds time. I am now looking for a BIG pump /emoticons/smile.png

I am not sure its the actual power but the way they deliver it, I think its more flat rather than shooting down if that makes sense?

I use a 30lpm washer and the fsc still doesn't get everything out. Just the 90% of dirt it does take out stays off the house/ garage/ cars etc and i can wash it away splatter free.

Ive put 15 degree nozzles on my fsc rips up everything

Off subject wot good flow rate ballcock would you recommend
Off subject bit wots the best ballcock to use for buffer mine cant keep up
I have had the same issue and removed it for now, but you can get high flow rate ones, have a google and you will see them, I just haven't got round to ordering one yet.

This was the job I had to do on Monday, was full of really deep rooted weeds, had to do the lot with the turbo nozzle.

Got one to do opposite as well which is probably twice as big, not so weedy though and block pavers instead of those big blocks, so should be able to rotary it.

Done one of the big block ones the other day my fsc gets everything Up maybe your going over it a bit quick i try to keep the left side of the rotary towards the drainage as thats where it pushes the water so its not constantly under fsc and the jets hit more of the block

I'm not joking when I say you could of mowed it before I started, it was really bad. I tried a section at the start and it wasn't pulling them out at all.
