It's a case of building it up... And trying to get a large enough customer base to employ people to do it...

it cost me 500 quid to set it up, basically paying the lady employee to flyer the town. i made up a lightweight sack barrow loaded with all the cleaning gear, hoover etc and this was signwritten . she pushed this to her work. work rolled in apace by phone and i arranged her diary . the trouble is id picked a fickle-type person to do the actual cleaning , instead i should have found a steady betty type .

Yeah that's what you need...

I'd be tempted to get a small van for them... But that's a big cost...

i used to clean windows for a woman who runs a big empire of domestic cleaners [ while living in squalor herself, tho thats another story!] chattin to her gave me an insight into the fact it runs itself pretty much if youve good ordinary mrs mops they dont do really dirty homes for starters ,the work is easy enough nice homes wont take on bachelors with sinks full of dirty plates

Has the **** not been knocked out of the house cleaning trade like many other trades by the influx of cheap cleaners working for £7.50p/h? At least around here thats all people pay. Lithuanian woman around town is creaming it in (reletively speaking), she does most of the village.

im not sure how it is now ,as i say it was 3 yrs ago i had a stab at it . i can remember that the woman who has the big empire employs a full time leafletting couple. man and lady who flyer for her every single day covering absolutely miles of territory shows me it must be big money. woman herself has a brand new motor and a hubby who sat in an upstairs garrett room on a computer doing the paperwork . he had a weird face ,sortof jack nicholsons face but without the class and they lived in a real tip

Guess it depends on your area, I live in the sticks and we don't really have this kind f issue...... yet.

Depends how you market the service, if you have a good high quality service and charge maybe £30-£40 for two hours work, but then pay an employee £8 an hour - your gonna be doing well...

There is a local cleaners round my way that charge this, and they seem very busy... So it must be possible!?

It's just a case of building up a round and getting it going that's the hard part.....

People like this are your classic millionaires that no one knows about. Love the idea of having a full time leafletter. They would probably pay thier own way in leads alone.

It'll happen @Diwrnach, just a matter of time.

empire lady is on local radio most lunchtimes ,in a "loose women" agony aunt role. good voice .

i can remember asking her,"when you first started out ,did u clean yourself?"

her reply-i never did

not even 1 house ??

no,no, not even 1

Round here that wage is standard, even for those born here! Friend of mine got a job in a shop the other day £7/hr.

Non immigrant.

It's more to do with the proliteriat being exploited than immigration.

Vote Corbin.

(Only joking, he's a bit of a *** innit)

I am from earth not from england, anyone has the right to live or work anywhere they like, whatever the circumstances are where they were randomly born. I am an earthling. **** ukip.

That is fine and well in utopia, we don't live in utopia, we live in separate countries and this one is already one of the most populated on the planet, there has to come a point when we have to say there are enough people here.

Plus I like different cultures, I like the Chinese culture, the African culture, Indian culture and yes the English culture, why should ANY of them be eroded? why should red, greed, blue and yellow cultures be mixed into a dull grey?

Countries are only seperate because some undictated ruler created the lines. They are not real and only exist if we accept them. I like different cultures too, there are different cultures within countries even, not saying get rid of them, just saying freedom of movement to go to whichever culture you like.

That just can't happen, people from third world countries will just flock to better countries and destroy them. Sounds familiar?

Sounds like propoganda to me. Plenty of people want to leave here too. I bet if you lived in a war torn or poor country you'd want to bring your family somewhere better too, here or somewhere else with jobs and food. Had we not raped the world of its resources and bought up all the farm lands around the world I'm sure there would be less third world than there is now. We don't have more rights as humans or any other creature just because we happen to be born here. Instead we have a responsibility to help.

Sorry, we have people in trouble in this country that need help, their countries should be helping them first, we should be helping ours first, if we have spare then sure help the entire planet, we are a small tiny island, we can't help the entire world.
