I used to do window cleaning a decade ago and have decided to get back on it. Ive still got some of my old tools but wouldn't mind investing in some new kit.. Has anyone got a current list Of what to buy or can anyone advise me if any of these full kits would be worth a purchase amd where would be the best place to currently buy kit. Looking to spend upto £100 to start with. Are these. Liquidator or ninja's worth it or are they just a fad etc? Also razor rubbers... Worth the money? I always used scrims back in the day aswell because nothing came close for detailing.. Is that still the case? Cheers

Scrims, or microfibres (big blue scrim things) liquidator, and razr rubber will do you well!

Scrim, unger or ettore squeegees, pointer ladder, unger optilock pole, and a wagtail. Aldi Magnum premium soap ....and you are good to go

Ninja and Liquidators are total fads mate, for those that want to have all the toys, even the ones that only get played with on christmas day then never used again. (I know this as I have bought both) Basic Unger or Ettore channels, squeegee handles a matter of preference, I like golden glove applicators as they hold shed loads of water, scrims or microfibers.

Good luck

The liquidator isn't a fad mate, it's just a normal squeegee with good end clips that stop most of the need to detail, worth getting, I've been using mine for months and it's great, it's not meant to be special, it's just meant to do a job, which it does...

Start into it again with what you were trained with and are familiar with. Once you're up and running you may want to have a play with the new 'dog ear' variants (Moerman, Unger, Wagtail) then by all means give it a go. I use a Wagtail and Liquidator hybrid and love it, but I can still quite comfortably clean glass with the Ettore Brass original I've owned for almost 30 years.

I've seen these wagtails but what exactly are they? What are the benefits of them? Cheers

I use them in hand and on poles. Single point free pivot makes them a dream to use on high and difficult glass from pole. In hand, if you can 'get them' they are incredibly nimble and ergonomically put less strain on forearm, elbow and shoulder. Check out the videos on YouTube done by Wagga (Chris Dawber).

That does sound good. That was definitely an issue I remember on the forearm. I'll look into it. Thanks

Definitely check out Christopher dawber and polzn bladz on tube

You will learn a lot from both of them

Wagtails are the best handle to use by far

Pity the same can't be said for the channels and scrubber pads

Mine has been modified to take the liquidator channels and works perfectly
