you know how it is, something catchers a passerbys attention , next thing theyre asking about windows. some people Whistle [ works good] some sing! [even better ! ]

what do you do ?

one of my lads sometimes says "you dirty barrstedd " and that always gets heads turning . have to be very careful where he uses it

I still think an Eastern European pole dancer or two in their early 20s wearing just their skimpys doing their thing up my WFP on the middle of the high road would get some attention...

I've started whistling as I flyer, I used to use an MP3 but I get chatting and smile with folk if possible and I think headphones would ruin that, and I think I'm faster without music

I also bang the van door and make a lot of noise on the road side as I set up to try and be visible

To be honest, and I do not see why you couldn't do it, why not a speaker like on the ice cream wagons that plays a bit of old school George Formby 'When I'm cleaning windows!'

There are a couple of scrap metal lads round here, the youngun walks down the road with the bull horn 'SCRAP METAL ANY OLD METAL' and when someone shouts him he whistles to the driver and the van pulls up to load up.

I ladder clang when on the windows, and metal bucket clang on the gutters. I think it would get a lot more interest if I had a worker or two with me. It makes people think they are missing out on a party when there is lots of activity,and they're not a part of it.
