just been told to get super deisel??? instead of ordinary stuff as its better quality & works out cheaper in the long run. is this true, my mechanical knowledge is oh thats a car , thats a van & thats a motorbike

I do buy the more expensive 'superfuel' diesels as they do increase performance of the engine. However having a van with 150k on the clock and then starting to put the better quality fuel in wil not make much of a difference for a long time.

If you blow about £150 getting a FULL service, including flushing all the old fuel, oil, fluids, replacing plugs leads etc and all filters, air, fuel, oil and then start running on higher grade fuel you will notice a marked improvement in your vehicles handling.

My mate in London has a VW transporter on an R plate, only ever bought the Shell Premium diesel and the thing pulls like a tank and never misses a beat, that's why he laughs at our mates that go buy new vans then feed them on $hite!

I used to run one on veg oil. No lie. Can't do it with modern Diesel engine though.
