Canvassing company?

Here's the question though Dirwnach, what would you be willing to pay for a canvasser?

Might sound like a daft question but it obviously need it to be worth your while and they need it to be worth theirs.

From what I understood of what Whizz was charging it would equate to about 2.2 cleans for new business.

Would you consider that fair, too much, too little? I am curious as to what you would be offering.

That would be fine yeah, I would initially only want to pay between £500 and a £1000 just to try them out as I have read a lot of horror stories with canvassing company's, but if they work out would probably use them fairly regular.

Around the 2x mark seems to be the normal price.

See I reckon someone with a little nerve out there hitting doors all day every day could do £1000 of new customers in a week so that's a £2k payout to them, not a bad weeks wage by any standards.
Yeah for sure, I think there is a massive opening for someone as well, the two guys I know of are both booked up for a year or more, think Whizz is already fully booked for next year.

plus if you don't mind doing it be a great way to see the country, get to work all over the place, be a good gig I reckon and good money.

Great, have actually filled in their contact form on their website, not heard anything yet but be interested how well they do.

How much do they charge? and is £500 the minimum amount? also, sorry for the questions, what was the waiting time like?

Seeing that the canvassing guys are so busy, and so many people are looking for canvassers (even tempted myself), I reckon theres more money in canvassing right now then there is in doing the cleaning.
Come and do some for me lol

What guarantees do you have using a canvasser? Say if for example the customer cancels within say 3 cleans do you get your money back?

Also I assume they work to your own prices, so if one guy charges £5 and the next one charges £20 then will the canvasser will only get a 1/4 of the number of custies in for the more expensive windie?

I have been tempted to do canvassing but i am too busy to leave the windows for any length of time

i think it works out about 1.8x per clean, I had to deposit about £250 to book the place and then pay the rest when completed. I think £500 is the minimum amount any canvasser will do,

Never having had any dealing with happy canvasing before im just testing the water I would like to use them regular if the quality is there.

I have had dealings with other canvassers and they all seem to be a bit smash and grab.

I had one canvasser hide 8 weekly jobs as 4 weeklys and then pretend to have no knowledge of it when confronted having been told I don't want 8 weeklys.

My advice is to be very specific what you want. Or you will be let down.

ill keep you posted

when getting new work you gotta be accept there will be drop outs, messers, time wasters and just plain retarded people. for example if I went out and got 10 new customers I would except that between 2-4 of those would be hard to work with and get your money.

so I am fully prepared to weed out some :turd:.

Think Whizz actually canvases more work than you ask for to allow for drop outs.

And thanks a lot for the reply @matt18 look forward to your feedback, as like you say a lot do seem smash and grab and don't want to pay someone a lot of money for a load of ****.

Hi, guys i have used both p.dale and whizz bizz as a lot of you know. I dont mind giving my honest opinion of both, including how they work and my personal experience. I will only tell it as it happened with each so you can draw your own conclusions, both decent guys, both different in their approach

im going out for tea, when i get back i will write a review

I've never properly canvassed mate so I've no idea how good I am at it. But I am good at getting work and keeping it once I get my foot in the door. Hopefully with all of the people reading this thread it might just light a little lightbulb in the head for someone, and you get a pm.

I reckon I wouldn't mind a 3 week month then away for a week canvassing pastures new, get to meet other like minded folks in the bizz and truly explore the cities, towns and villages of Britain.

It is almost a romantic notion.

'Hello missus, he may be built like a tank and can bench an ambulance but he does a grand job on cleaning the windows! Can I sign you up luv?'
