They came from Greece and were going to turkey, they were in GREECE and trying to get somewhere better, the poor kid, but it is not our fault its the parents fault, they were fleeing GREECE, now correct me if I am wrong but Greece isn't at war is it?

And its all Europe, evil Europe, why not evil Arab states? they are right next to very rich Muslim countries they could safely wander into, but why don't they? because their own neighbours don't want them, why aren't the world up in arms over that? nope, our fault again.

@MrBump i was so close to posting the very same picture in the hope that it might, just might help people gain a little perspective. I am saddened by some of the comments on this subject but have held back! Ditto everything you've said on this mate.

Diwrnach please stop mate! Stop making excuses, there are no excuses!

Does it matter where the poor kid was from?

But anyway I copied this from fhe guardian website...

"The full horror of the human tragedy unfolding on the shores of Europe was brought home on Wednesday as images of the lifeless body of a young boy – one of at least 12 Syrians who drowned attempting to reach the Greek island of Kos – encapsulated the extraordinary risks refugees are taking to reach the west."

Full article http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/sep/02/shocking-image-of-drowned-syrian-boy-shows-tragic-plight-of-refugees

He was travelling FROM Kos, that article is wrong, they are even maps showing his trip.

Please stop what? its bloody terrible what happened, but its the parents fault, if you had escaped your war torn country and were safely in Kos, you know the place people go on bloody holiday, would you then decide you want to get into Europe now and board a bloody **** dinghy with your two young kids? I bloody wouldn't, that poor kid died to his dads stupidity.

What do you propose Europe does with these 100's of thousands of migrants dirwnach? I'm interested in what you think the answer is

someones gotta help them dirwnach
I have no problem helping them, but a lot of these aren't refugees and you can't blame us for a boy drowning fleeing Greece?

Watch that video I posted before it was nearly all mid 20s males, why is that? something is not right, some of them are real refugees and need help, but a vast majority are migrants.

I never said they don't need help and we shouldn't help, but I like truth over none sense, and that boy did not die due to being a refugee he died because he had a dumb dad, poor little guy.

They should be given temporary status and kept tabs on until their country is safe to return to, like we have every other time we helped refugees.

The times before we put them in camps, there are remains of one of those camps not far from here, I actually know a family from one from the second world war, but of coarse these days that's not good enough.

Well then that's the end of the debate, you've just said we should help, so that's the end of it, glad we all agree now...

I never said we shouldn't, but a lot of these people are not refugees, they are chancing it, stick them in camps, sort their country out, send them back.

Sorry by the way they were fleeing Turkey and heading to Greece, Turkey is also not at war.

But of coarse Turkey isn't in the EU so not good enough.

No but its next to syria. Hence they were syrian. Sorry is your map any more verified than a newspaper article? Either way who cares. The word heartless springs to mind. And his dad was doing all he could to make a better life for his kids, he was desperate enough. Don't ever move out of that house your in as you are perfectly safe and are not allowed to go anywhere else or take any risks with your kids so don't drive either. His dad was obviously desperate and wasn't getting enough help where he was. I doubt it was a willing choice. If in turkey he was fleeing war. If in greece, oh that super rich country greece yeah, well maybe he wasn't getting any help. Maybe he just wanted to have a decent life. Or is that too much to ask unless you are ice age white and are lucky enough to be born in a country without war at this current time. Talk on the news of bringing in 3,000 orpan syrian children. Well thats a start.

So because its next to Syria its not safe enough? its a holiday destination, there are English people sitting on the beach there.

We should all move on now lads, I respect all our arguments, and none of us mere mortals can really make a difference, so shall we all agree to disagree?

I just cannot understand for the life of me why really rich, some of the richest in the world, and have standing army's, are right next to them, are the same people, same religion, yet are doing nothing, I don't get it, something just doesn't add up to me, Saudi,Yemen,Jordan,UAE, all right there and more than capable of helping, but don't? why isn't that all over the news?

I also don't understand why those men in that film I posted aren't fighting back, I tell you now if the UK is invaded I would pick up a gun and fight for my country, I wouldn't jump on a dinghy and flee to France.

I am fairly sure most in this thread, and also in this country would do the same.

Refugees should be women, children, people too old to fight, disabled or poorly, not hundreds of men in their 20s.

Diwrnach I have been patient, but your an idiot. Even when I took the time to read your article and reply, you dodged all response and moved over to religion. Now your saying everyone has to accept the first place of safety they find, regardless of whether there is actually help or food or jobs or whatever. And regardless of whether you actually know the whole story or not. If anyone is willing to spend months and risk their lives to get somewhere, firstly they are mot afraid to work, secondly their current life is **** enough to run. When you were homeless at 16, imagine you lived in a different country, say syria.

Because its not in our news owners agenda or politicians to spread any news of that kind. Many do go to those places, 4 million in camps over there. Andit doesn't matter what anyone else is doing, help first, worry about tit for tat later.
