I know I abandoned this thread but just in regards to Ghandi, he wasn't racist, although I guess you could say he was patriotic, he didn't just help his home country india, before that he fought for equal rights for non-whites in south africa. He didn't want pakistan and india to seperate. As far as I know, sadly he was shot by an indian for wanting the country to stay united and not to seperate into different regions/faiths. He just didn't want the uk to control people over there where they had no right to in order for cheap labour and to send cheap fabric back to the uk. The film Ghandi with attenborough is worth a watch and fairly accurate. Buddha says many times, don't do what I say, listen to what I say and then make up your own mind. Peace to you all.

Diwrnach I have been patient, but your an idiot. Even when I took the time to read your article and reply, you dodged all response and moved over to religion. Now your saying everyone has to accept the first place of safety they find, regardless of whether there is actually help or food or jobs or whatever. And regardless of whether you actually know the whole story or not. If anyone is willing to spend months and risk their lives to get somewhere, firstly they are mot afraid to work, secondly their current life is **** enough to run. When you were homeless at 16, imagine you lived in a different country, say syria.
Because its not in our news owners agenda or politicians to spread any news of that kind. Many do go to those places, 4 million in camps over there. Andit doesn't matter what anyone else is doing, help first, worry about tit for tat later.

To call someone an idiot for disagreeing with you and putting his strong views and opinions across is extremely rude and unnecessary. Just because he doesn't agree with you, doesn't make him an idiot. In fact many would argue that you're the idiot for disrespecting someone who's entitled to their opinion.

I also believe that religion is the root of all evil across the world. Based on my research, opinion, feelings and view. That doesn't make me an idiot. That's my right to feel that way. Any ordinary decent human being would of course felt sick, terrible and saddened by the little boy who died. Was it necessary to repost the picture once again? Everyone has seen it on the news and every social network going! Completely out of order in my opinion. I believe in charity beginning at home. So many people in our country and across Europe living on the streets, and no! they aren't all druggies or alcoholics. I myself have struggled..always struggling to have money in the bank by the end of the month, always struggling to keep a roof over my head and pay the bills and provide for my family despite always paying my taxes etc since I left school. Do I get any help from the government? Do I f**k. I've tried and tried over the years but never have done. No. I and my family have to suffer paying £800 a month in private rent and be on a council waiting list for 10years plus. whilst immigrants/refugees get hand outs left right and centre. Maybe if I was comfortable enough and felt looked after by our own government then I'd reach out to these people with open arms. But I can't do that when I'm asking for help myself. Diwarnach is far from an idiot. And neither am I.

I thought the idiot remark was a bit much during tuffers debate (friendly exchange of view points?)

When I broke my foot recently I struggled to get help from benefits. A young Somali woman (appeared very fit and healthy) hogged the receptionists time for ages asking for a bigger flat. The receptionist tried to explain in different ways it suited her needs. she wasn't having it. Me on my crutches had to wait in line.

Homeless at 16 and got zero help, unless you class police moving me on in my tent at 3am repeatedly, I'm sure they turned it into some kind of sport.

one tip i will give with workers is never take your customer list to work with you, for ANY reason . copy it and they could devastate your business and poach the lot . the thing with migrants is you simply cannot tell their background because the accent masks a sneaky type.

that Equador migrant who i employed went round my customers saying id given them over to him but luckily for me he had not got my customer list which meant he could only go do my list from memory ,i think i lost about a dozen only to his scam . i got some back by telling them id had to let him go cos he was an illegal immigrant ,fight fire with fire !

in fact it might be worthwhile prepping up a False client list,leather bound book full of addresses that are nothing to do with you , top drawer prices - and leave it in the glovebox in your van. be seen to add notes to it in red biro every now and then " mrs jones ,£50 tip this time " .

im pretty sure he will cook his own goose. no doubt he will already be overcharging old ladies .

After he left my employ i asked around about him. hed previously worked for 2 respectable window cleaning firms in the area Hightop and The Roys group ,turns out he had left each of them under a cloud

You want to debate politics, race and religion in one single thread on an open forum with 15 random (cause no we don't actually know each other) strangers and hope to come to an agreeable meeting of minds?

In another reasonably recent thread there has been too much of the 'oh he said blah blah and now I'm not going to be his friend so you are my new BFF and he can go blah blah' And this is between so called grown men that like to make on line vids and then show themselves up in public by acting like children.

Until we are no longer (on the surface) still a democracy then remember that every one is 'entitled' to an opinion, you don't have to agree with or even like it but you do have to allow them to have an opinion otherwise we should all vote for a leader with the name Kin Jong Un.

Bob is a big boy and from what I gather reasonably wise and in the least wise enough not to let such a comment upset him, he has himself on odd occasion been guilty of pot stirring for amusement as have we all so on that alone he has to let it slide. Simple.

It's a real low act what he did boars, you take him on and he does that to you! Guys like him will most likely continue to lie and cheat their way through life as it's just who they are! But I'm sure you know that to tarnish all migrants with the same brush is a tad harsh and I'm sure you know that a British person or anyone from anywhere could do the same if that's who they are.

 
actually the van crash/wreck / claiming compo did me a big favour. i mean i lost my van and he damaged an Audi TT in the process but insurance covered that - but i later discovered he was doing side jobs ,but in my time ,keeping the cash to himself . id probably not have found this out if he was still employed.

Course i know that a Brit worker can do the same
